An interesting piece, but she doesn't really back much up, it's fairly easy to say "the public sector invented GPS" without actually stating what the intended application was for GPS when first suggested, likewise touchscreen technology, wireless communications etc.

I don't deny that they should be paying more, but here argument is a little lop sided imho.
