If what I read is true and the lab doing the testing hasn't bothered testing for rabbit or deer meat, then frankly I'm amazed. When I lived in Staffs, a mate of mine had a very lucrative sideline supplying the local Indian, Chinese and balti restaurants and takeaways with trapped or shot rabbit and the occasional bambi. This then appeared on the menu simply labelled as "Meat curry"

Reminds me of the apocryphal story I heard at uni, about a Manchester takeaway where a dog was found in the freezer. The owner apparently offered a reward to find out who had put it there...
