ok but IMO the top two candidates, messers Wiggins & Murray LACK any real 'personality' ! they both come over as boring old farts !

Hightlight of year...the look on Denise Lewis face when a athlete doesnt win it.

The fact I had to Wiki who she was gives me the impression she won't get anywhere near the ten.

But had you watched the Paralympics you would have known straight away who she was, and she was extremely impressive.

She also has a first class honours in Maths, and a personality. The two don't always go together.

It's not the same as where you practice and you can't have a non-competition race over it beforehand. It's like one long Grand Final. As soon as you get on that bike, nobody knows where it's going and attacks are based on pure instinct. As dramatic as anything in sport and it lasts a month. A month.
