This is abysmal.

I watched the game yesterday and couldn't even be bothered to post until now. I'm totally out enthused with the way we are going this season. Yes we've had a few gritty wins and progressed in the cup but we simply haven't clicked like we did last year. Perhaps we over achieved last year? Did we not recruit well enough? Is there some underlying issue with Burgess? who knows. 


The first have was absolutely atrocious. I bet Hull felt that Christmas had come early. In fact i'd put it down as worse than the first half in Vegas. We were sloppy. Hull were clinical but i wouldn't say they blew us away like Wigan did in Vegas. Second half we found a way back into it but time was always against us. Not many teams come back from being that far behind on the scoreboard. 


Before the game i had a feeling this was a kind of banana skin. Hull obviously reeling after last weeks derby but to be fair they are playing better stuff than us at the minute and you could see the enthusiasm from kick off. Whereas we had absolutely none. It was similar to the Wakefield game. Until Burgess gets a grip of us i can only see us being around 6th position at the end of the season. There is a good chance Saints, Hull, Leigh and possibly Leeds could finish above us at this rate. 

Interesting to note that he said it "wasn't worth giving them a spray" at half time. I wonder if he's too pally with them at the end of the day.

 I wonder about this too. 

All of our 3 preseason signings can't even get in the 21. 


If Salford hadn't imploded financially we would be without a scrum half too. 


If this standard of recruitment is what we can expect going forward from our DoR Chambers then God help us.
