Can't see an official thread for the game so here's this one. Looks like rlfans is following most of the media in pretty much ignoring it. Anyways a close game in the offing but I fancy the Roosters for this one. Roby should be back for saints and easts have a new halfback combo. I went to last year's and it seemed much more high profile than this game. Wonder why?

Indeed, i came on earlier and thought it odd there was no GAME ON:Saint Helens v Sydney Roosters thread.

It's Sydney's first real game, so they will be rusty, wont be anywhere as good as the All Stars game was earlier.

Think Sts fans were truly terrified to post in case their team got the hat trick of 3 zero scores in the WCC. Safe to post now, Sts have scored.

Well, they're hanging in there. As long as they can stay in touch on scoreline, then you never know. Gonna be a tough ask though, they looked well second best in that half.

Good effort from Saints. Ultimately the right hand side was not good enough and Welsby the full back just not seeing it with him.

The game was there for Saints in that second half, they played well enough to give themselves a chance, they just couldn't get through that brick wall.

Dirty Sts. St James raising the leg of an attacker, who'd have thought it ?

Agreed missing a Sculthorpe, Long or Cunningham to make the difference. It was there but as usual clinical finishing from our Aussie friends when it mattered.

Not sure when a European side will win this again.

Without that Extra quality from Australia SL sides used to get it's a struggle.
