Cup Squads Announced

The squads have been announced for the Carnegie Challenge Cup clash with Celtic Crusaders at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Friday night.

Danny McGuire and Simon Worrall are set to make their returns to the first team on Friday night as the march to the arch begins. The injury crisis deepens though as Gareth Ellis, Ryan Bailey, Ryan Hall and Danny Williams are all missing from the team that was successful against Warrington last Friday night. This means a first call up to the first team squad for prop Joe Chandler and 17 year old centre Kallum Watkins.

The Crusaders arrive at Headingley Carnegie after a 44-16 defeat at Whitehaven last Friday, Jamie I'Anson looking to make a return to Headingley Carnegie after coming through the Academy ranks. The Crusaders have only announced an 18 man squad for the fixture, instead of the required 19.

The squads announced today are:

Leeds Rhinos: Webb, Donald, Senior, Smith, McGuire, Burrow, Leuluai, Diskin, Peacock, Sinfield, Scruton, Ablett, Burgess, Kaye, Worrall, Watkins, Chandler, Jones Bishop.

Celtic Crusaders: Ballard, Hannay, Dalle Court, Lennon, Blackwood, Webster, Van Dijk, Tangata-Toa, Budworth, James, Beasley, Mapp, Quinn, Wyatt, Summers, I'Anson, Dean, Flower.

Referee: Phil Bentham
