Loiner4Life's SLXIII Round 9 Preview
Posted by Number 2 on March 27 2008 - 11:50:12

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

After the bruising double header Easter weekend Super League is back with the biggest game of the season so far. The Grand Final rematch at Knowsley Road.

Our predictions aces give you there thoughts and Loiner4Life talks you through his thoughts on the way things will pan out.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII Round 9.

SAINTS V RHINOS

Itís the one Stevo and Eddie have been knocking one out over all Easter! Leeds have played high tempo rugby all Easter but a third game in 8 days against our supposedly main rivals should be too much to ask. Saints were awesome against Wigan but couldnít follow it up against the Giants although that was the refís fault!. The return of Danny McGuire has steadied our ship although the in form Lee Smith is missing. Saints coach Anderson comes up against the man who succeeded him for the Kiwisí and did a better job and Anderson has started the mind games already and believe me Wenger and Fergie have nothing to worry about!. If Iím honest I can see Saints raising their game for this one and hoping to avenge the grand final loss but, as always I never back against Leeds Ė Rhinos by 4

WARRIORS V WILDCATS

Wigan welcome back Mathers this week although they come into this at the back of a disappointing display against the Saints and a close game against the decent side in Hull! Wakefield come into this after a beating by the Catalans, they have had to travel back form France and I just think Wigan with home advantage will be to fresh for them. Wigan by 18

WOLVES V 'QUINS

Warrington were fortunate to get the 2 points by all accounts on Monday and if they are to be our main rivals for the top spot they needed a huge points score against the Tigers. The Quins went down to the very poor Bradford team and I expect them to lose again despite the few injuries and suspension to Louis Anderson. Dire by 16

DRAGONS V HULL FC

Oh dear the boos started on Monday, you have to sympathise with Peter Sharp to extent but even with what they had they looked poor to average the signings have been disappointing from what Iíve seen from Hull. The Dragons got a good win at home to Wakey on Monday and I expect them to continue there decent form. Dragons by 8

HULL KR V GIANTS

Mmm both had mixed fortunes over Easter winning one and losing one I think this will be a really tough basic game of rugby there not too far apart in terms of league position but I think this will come to the defenceís only Cas and Wakefield have leaked more points then the Giants so far and Hull are certainly starting to look a unit now. BULLS V TIGERS

I hope one of these teams gets a hammering but Iím not sure which? One thing should be certain Ė the crowd should attract more then 11,000 due to the away support!!!. Cas ran Wire close but still Ė how did we lose to this bunch of bottom of the league no hopers? Bradford are still having bad luck with injuries and Newton rightfully so is missing but they should have enough to get by the out of town folk. Bulls by 12
