Loiner4lifes SLXIII Round 7 Preview

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

Oldham Rhino seems to be getting so far ahead in this competition that it is barely worth SouthStander.com and L4L putting their predictions on.

Nevertheless, L4L has once again licked his finger and stuck it in the air. He'd like to point out, however, that the only team news that he has is that for the Rhinos v. Bulls game. Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII Round 7.

RHINOS v. BULLS

Leeds gave a good response last week in keeping a clean sheet against the Harlequins and the Bulls had a cracking win against Warrington which shocked me. Both teams are suffering injuries this week but i just feel that Leeds have more strength with the replacements that will be coming in to what the Bulls will, without Langley, Morrison and little Joe there pack will be a little light expect. Bulls always give us a good test at Headingley and i wouldnít be surprised to see a Bradford win although they have gone down to Saints and Wigan who I expected both to challenge us this year which suggests they will struggle against big teams.

'QUINS v. DRAGONS

The quins will be hurting this week and the Coach McDermott will be looking for a good response from his side this week. Catalans have surprised me thus far and last weekís win against the Saints will fill the team with confidence. I think this game could go either way but Iím going to say Catalans will edge it due to the London sides minor injury problems.

KR v. FC

Oh superb - before last season the Cod heads were expecting 6 points guaranteed against the Rovers - oh how times have changed. Both these teams came up against the bottom 2 sides Wakefield and Cas so you canít read much into that. I 6think the return of Cooke will be a boost to the team and he adds the final piece of the jigsaw and heíll be rearing to go especially against FC. Home advantage vs a too inconsistent team so KR by 4.

SAINTS v. WARRIORS

Similar to the above i think this season Wigan will have what it takes to beat the saints. People have been saying Saints are going through a transition period with Cunningham, Long and Scully all getting past it and Iím starting to agree they donít seem to have the spark thus far this year. Wigan stole 2 points against the Giants last week but with these derby games you can throw the formbook out of the window and Iím going to pick the Saints by 12.

WOLVES v. GIANTS

Huddersfield must be gutted about getting robbed last week it must have been some effort. Warrington I canít see how they failed to come away from the bulls empty handed on paper they should have put them to bed - Iím told the bulls didnít look that good anyway. With home advantage and much stronger squad i have to say Warrington by 18.
