Loiner4lifes SLXIII Round 5 Preview
Posted by southstander on March 06 2008 - 12:14:11

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

After Oldham Rhino and both got six from six with one each exact last week, L4L finds himself trailing in the wake of his tipping couterparts.

Still, Round five is another week and once again L4L sticks his head above the parapet and gives his opion on this coming weekends fixtures.

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII Round 5.

Castleford almost got a much needed win last week and will be hoping to build on that performance. Leeds will have McGuire and Toopi missing this week but itís not bad having Ash Gibson and probably Kevin Sinfield as the likely replacement options. I think Leeds will make it 5 out of five and hopefully they will have their eye back on the big prize now the distraction of the WCC has gone. The best defence and attack in the league versus the worst donít bet on Cas causing a shock but really should be a walk over. Leeds to win by 48

Time has to be running out for Peter Sharp I didnít see that result coming last week as Mr and Oldham Rhino did - credit to you guys. Dowes Injury wonít help matters to already weak pack and they are away to the Saints who just by some bizarre reason scrapped past Wakefield last week. Saints to win by 18.

The bulls took a bit of a belting last week at the hands of Wigan who were so poor Iím told against Hull the week before, luckily they come against Catalans who have struggled this season to find any form and I expect them to struggle this week. Bulls by 8.

Tough one this not sure where to go on it. The Giants had a great result against Hull last week. Quins somehow struggled against the tigers so with that in mind Iím going to go with a Giants sneaky away win. Giants by 6.

Wakefield despite their injuries put up a good fight against the ĎEntertainersí last week while Hull KR had the week off. Although Hull have a had a nice rest it wont have done them many favours and Wakefield will be hoping to go beyond last weeks achievement of coming so close with a win against Saints. Unfortunately the added loss of badger head will weaken them too much for me. Hull KR by 6.

Classic hopefully on the cards here, I thought Mathers was awesome last week. Wigan coming up against tough opposition should have them better prepared for the game then the wolves and despite a good start to the season and home advantage Iím going with Wigan. Wigan by 12.
