Loiner4lifes SLXIII Round 3 Preview
Posted by Number 2 on February 21 2008 - 18:44:43

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

Loiner4Life's SLXIII previews continue with the three tipsters still being headed up by Oldham Rhino, despite SouthStander.com taking the honours by a single point last week.

This week the Rhinos entertain the Catalans Dragons, and L4L previews all the action.

We continue with Round 3.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII - Round 3.

BULLS V SAINTS

Biggest game of season thus far and the hardest to predict! Saints should take a few thousand away fans to help the Bulls get over the 11,000 average mark. Both lost their 1st round games away to lesser opposition then came back last week with wins, Saintsí win over Warrington was tougher then Bulls beating the Giants but Iím going to pick the home team here I donít think many teams will leave the speed track with 2 points. Bulls to edge it by 4

SportingOdds Handicap: Saints +4

HULL FC V WARRIORS

While scoring lots of points Wigan are leaking a few too. Hull should have beaten Quins last week I donít care what anyone says Hull still had big name players and home advantage. Only when the injuries are minimal Peter Sharp will be judge but heís already asking for the backing of the fans after 2 games which to me is the sign of a desperate man. I think this game will be won by the backs and I think Wigan should have enough. Wigan by 16

SouthStander.com tipsWigan by 12

SportingOdds Handicap: No Odds Yet: Likely to be Hull +8 to +10

RHINOS V DRAGONS

Leeds will no doubt have one eye on the World Club Challenge so depending on what team turns up we could win by just 4 points or 40 points. The Dragons are too inconsistent for my liking the fact they lost at home to KR to me suggests they may only be picking up wins against the poorer teams Huddersfield, Castleford etc. Leeds to win by 24

SouthStander.com tipsRhinos by 22

SportingOdds Handicap: No Odds Yet: Likely to be Dragons +22 to +24

QUINS V WILDCATS

Is this fixture really on Sky TV Ė what was the producer thinking Ė certainly he wasnít trying to get people interested in rugby league anyway why on earth have they chose this game? Dancing on ice for me this Saturday then but anyway Quins defeated a poor Hull team, Wakey got hammered by the Champions I donít know why though but Iím going for Wakefield by 8

SportingOdds Handicap: Wildcats +4

GIANTS V TIGERS

Here we have another clash of the big guns. The Giants starting poorly again but luckily they are coming up against Castleford. Sharp has told his team not to panic and look what happened last season Ė unfortunately the Giants donít Have Robbie Paul or Brad Drew who can make something out of nothing. One of these teams will get off the mark this weekend and I fully expect it to be the Giants. I could really see Cas going all season without an away win. Giants by 12

L4L tipsGiants by 12
Oldham Rhino tipsGiants by 6
SouthStander.com tipsGiants by 8

SportingOdds Handicap: No Odds Yet: Likely to be Tigers +10 to +12

ROVERS V WOLVES

I think this will be a great game and one Iíd had loved to have seen Ė more so then Quins v the Wildcats. Hull had a fantastic start and 4 points from 6 will have delighted Justin Morgan. Warrington must be wandering what they have done to the man upstairs 2 games into the season and already Chris Bridge likely to miss the season. I think Warrington should just have too much quality for KR but Iím going to say Hull because KR defeated Saints who beat Wire last week. KR by 6

SportingOdds Handicap: No Odds Yet: Likely to be Rovers +2
