Loiner4lifes SLXIII Round 2 Preview
Posted by southstander on February 14 2008 - 15:22:48

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

Loiner4Life's SLXIII previews got off to a great start last week, although his tipping was slightly behind that of Oldham Rhino and SouthStander.com. After one weeks predicting Oldham heads up the unholy trinity with two exact predictions, SouthStander called the Hull KR v. Saints game correct but L4L was left trailing with none of his predictions being exactly right.

This week the Rhinos travel to last weekends shocksters Wakefield, and L4L previews all the action.

We continue with Round 2.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII - Round 2.

SAINTS v. WOLVES

Mmmmm very difficult one this, on one hand we have Warrington who won last week despite the game not been a very good one. On the other hand we should have a fired up Saints team looking to prove themselves after last weeks defeat at Hull KR. Warrington have a very poor record against Saints and with that in the back of some of their players minds and Saints with Home Advantage and looking to make amends Iím going to go Saints by 4.

WILDCATS v. RHINOS

Another tough one - They already have one over on the Leeds B Side this year youíve never seen so many orgasms on the western terrace but come Friday despite Wakefieldís win over Bradford I think Leeds have too much strength and depth for the Wild Cats, not many teams will be able to drop a player after scoring 2 tries and looking impressive it just shows the size and quality of the Leeds squad despite what Dave Hatfield says! Iím predicting a Leeds win by 12 but please Wild Cats if this is the case lets not start no silly petitions to get Refereeís sacked just get on with life and take it on the Chin - Leeds lost the penalty count heavily V Huddersfield but still won so donít use that as an excuse either!

WARRIORS v. TIGERS

First of all for the record - Brisbane bound Terry Matterson bwah ha ha ha ha. I tipped the Cas Vegas outfit to beat the Dragons last week and in fairness it was a poor game, lots of handling errors form both teams but at Home they lost to a team that they will probably be fighting out down at the bottom with. Wigan on the other hand bagged a lot of points last week so with that and Home advantage Iím going for a rather large Home win. Wigan by 28

BULLS v. GIANTS

Great - itís the return for the most un-loyal fans in rugby to turn out this week - no trophies in 3 years (WCC Friendly game doesnít count IMO) and with a loss to the Wild Cats last week, will the 16,000 from the glory years turn up Saturday or the probable 11,000 at the speedway track this week? Either way itís on sky so I look forward to seeing the young 'Show us yer Trophies' lady. I still maintain the Giants have failed to replace the likes of Drew, Paul and Nero and think they will struggle down with the bottom 6. Bulls by 16.

DRAGONS v. HULL KR

Ok - Iíve been wrong, despite having 10 new players itís obvious you donít need time to Gel as a team you just need a cracking coach and with Justin Morgan they have just that and last weeks win against Saint will give the KR side a huge boost of Confidence. Iím a great believer that when it comes to teams your expecting to be near the bottom then your Home games are Important to win but I donít see them winning this one, Catalan got a good away result last week but Iím going to say Hull KR will edge it. KR by 6.

SportingOdds Handicap: No Odds Yet: Likely to be KR +2 to +4

HULL FC v. 'QUINS

Quins I feel sorry for, they had their biggest crowd last week and I just hope for the sake of the game down there that people donít stop coming just because of one result. Hull got a rather large wake-up call last Friday, I know they have injuries but they still have some big game players out there. Lee Radford maybe back this week which will boost there pack and at the end of the day they should be too strong for the poor London side. Hull by 14.
