SS.com Predictions - Round XXVII Results

Minor Premier Crowned
by John D

Apologies for the delay. I've been sunning myself in the South of France.

It's the last lot of results for most of you. We have our minor premier and our other play-off contenders. The rest of you must now look to redouble your efforts in pre-season and come back fresh again next time out.

All the results here....

Here's how you did.

Points
7
rodhtch (Tipsters of the Week)
6
ennjay, Knaresborough Rhino II, The Biffs Back
5
Andy Gilder, deanos rhinos, barries dad, SpicyRhino, rotherhamrhino, burleywhite II
4
BigRob, tad rhino, SouthStander.com, Baby Rhino II, Baby Rhino 3, Kevin the Gerbil, United Rhino, rhinos69
3
burleywhite, WhiteRhino, High Peak Rhino, Mrs deanos rhinos, Pet Rhino, BORORHINO, FoxyRhino, LJFC Rhino
2
Sarahgrhino, Highbury Rhino

It's a three-way split at the top of the September table::

Points
17
Baby Rhino 3, FoxyRhino, rotherhamrhino
16
deanos rhinos, rodhutch
15
Andy Gilder, burleywhite II
14
SouthStander.com, Baby Rhino II, The Biffs Back
12
ennjay, Pet Rhino, Knaresborough Rhino II, SpicyRhino, United Rhino
11
BigRob, tad rhino, BORORHINO, barries dad, Kevin the Gerbil, rhinos69
10
High Peak Rhino, Highbury Rhino, Mrs deanos rhinos, LJFC Rhino
9
burleywhite, Sarahgrhino, WhiteRhino, Cala Millor Rhino
3
Loiner4life

So we go to the scorecards. In round 16, Baby Rhino 3 scored 5 while Foxy and rotherhamrhino both scored 9. In round 25, FoxyRhino outscored rotherhamrhino by 5 points to 3, so September tipster of the month and our final goodie bag winner of the season is FoxyRhino. Phew. But there's worse to come....

The final league table now, and we have our minor premier who takes away a 2008 Rhinos shirt:

First of all, congratulations to Baby Rhino II. For such a young one, she's proved herself as a champion predictor and edged out her even younger sibling for top spot. It looks like there's something in the Knaresborough water...

Play-offs then. Back to the scorecards to pick out the three best of those locked together in that logjam on 110 points. Only six can make it to the play-offs, and you lot need to be separated. In round 26, it stacked up like this:

7
SouthStander.com
5
SpicyRhino
5
LJFC Rhino
4
mrs deanos rhinos
4
Pet Rhinos

What does this mean? It means that SouthStander.com finishes 4th. Counting back further still to round 24 shows us that LJFC Rhino takes 5th while SpicyRhino takes the 6th and final play-off berth.
Phew.

So the Rowberry children sit out the first week and prepare for a domestic derby in their play-off game in a couple of weeks - the winner progressing to the final. The first batch of sudden death play-off games are:

rodhutch v SpicyRhino
SouthStander.com v LJFC Rhino

I'll PM the relevant players with details, but it's essentially picking the winning margins of the play-off matches in line with what happens in Super League. The closer you are, the fewer points your opponent scores against you. In the event of a draw, with no time for replays, it's 'home' advantage (i.e. the higher placed person on the league table) that progresses.

Good luck everyone!
