Add A Bit of Spice to the Final
Posted by southstander on October 13 2006 - 13:40:06

You Bet

Forget the fact that both sides who will contest tomorrows Superleague Grand Final were found guilty of cheating last years salary cap.

Forget the fact that the Saints will be led by a player who suffered a lengthy ban for using insider information to bet against his own team.

Forget the fact that we've not had a part to play in the play-offs for a three weeks.

Now is the time to spice up your saturday night a little and try and make some money from the bookies.

SportingOdds.com, affiliates of RLFANS.COM, are currently offering 30 worth of free Rugby League bets to new sign-ups. With tomorrow seeing the Grand Final, and the first tri-nations game between Australia and New Zealand, there has never been a better time to open a SportingOdds.com account.

Lets take a look at the Grand Finals and see where the money is to be made.

Saints are ironed on favourites at 1/4, but if you think that the Airlie Birds can shock the Saints, you can get them at 3/1. A safer, but less luctrative bet would be Hull FC with the handicap (+10) points at 11/10 meaning that as long as the black & whites lose by less than ten points (or win) you would get 21 back for your 10 bet.

Longer odds can be found on first try scorer and Harry Sunderland Trophy (Man of the Match). For first Saints try scorer why not have a look at; Lyon at 11/1, Pryce at 16/1 and Cunningham at 20/1. If you think that Hull will cross the whitewash first, how about; Raynor at 16/1, Yeaman at 14/1 or King at 50/1.

For man of the match the clever money will almost certainly be on Jamie Lyon at 6/1, playing in his last game for Saints before returning home. Man of Steel Wellens is 12/1 while Cunningham is 14/1. On the Hull side you can get 10/1 on Cooke, 33/1 on Raynor, or Yeaman at 20/1.

SportingOdds.com are also offering a few specials. Team that scores first to lose at 7/4. A 40-20 at 2/1. Sin-Binning or dismissal at 5/2 or for certain money...more than three visits to the video referee at 6/5.

Enjoy the game, ignore the sour taste in your mouth that we aren't there, and hopefully make some money from the bookies!
