Friday Ticket Announcement
Posted by southstander on September 20 2006 - 09:01:35

Ticket Change
From Phil Daly

Leeds Rhinos have today announced that fans will be able to enter all areas of Headingley Carnegie via cash turnstiles for Friday’s engage Super League play off game against Warrington Wolves, kick off 8pm.

Leeds have had to take the step after telephone lines crashed yesterday due to a BT technical fault that left many fans unable to get through on the phone to purchase their tickets.

More details here...

The telephone lines are still not back fully operational and fans are urged to pre-purchase their ticket in person where possible to help alleviate queues at the turnstiles. Plus adult season ticket holders can gain a £1 discount by pre-purchasing prior to 5pm on Friday or a £5 saving for juniors.

Commenting on the announcement Chief Executive Gary Hetherington said, “First of all we would like to apologise to any of our supporters who were left frustrated by the inability to get through on the phone yesterday. At around 12.20pm yesterday a fault occurred on the lines coming into our offices and after initially being told by BT that this would be rectified quickly it still has not been resolved fully and supporters may experience queues on the phone today also. Therefore, we have taken the unusual step of retaining a limited number of tickets for all sections of the ground, including the South Stand, which will be sold at the turnstiles on the night at the normal admission prices. This is for this game only and as a result of the difficulties we faced yesterday.

“We would like to thank our fans for their co-operation with this matter and ask them to appreciate that events were beyond our control and we have now taken steps to try and resolve problems that have arose,” added Hetherington.
