That line, you will have noticed, fences off the top 6. "But why?", I hear you cry.

That's because the top 6 go into the play-offs. We'll follow the Super League play-off format with players going head-to-head to determine our Predictions League Champion for 2006, so the top 2 after round 28 get a week off to recharge the batteries while the other four go into a knockout situation.

The game is essentially the same - predict the winning margins - but there's a difference in the scoring. In the play-offs, if you predict the margin spot on, that's how many points you get. So if you predict a 30 point winning margin for one team and they win by 30, 30 points are yours. For every point you are out by, you lose a point. So if you predict a 30 point winning margin and that team win by 20, you score 20. If they win by 40, you score 20, and so on. So if you get it totally wrong and they lose by 6, you score -36. It ain't as tricky as it sounds. In the event of a draw - and I really hope it doesn't come down to this - whoever finished higher in the table will progress.

While the 'Minor Premier' will win a 2007 season home shirt, there will be a separate prize for the winner of the play-offs.

Round 21 fixtures are up for your next lot of guessing on the messageboard.
