The young Rhinos ran out steam at Kirkstall on Saturday morning as the Warrington Wolves came from behind to snatch victory after trailing for the majority of the game. Leeds were 12 points up within 10 minutes, Danny Lawton and Mathew Fox going in for the Rhinos with Lawton adding both conversions. Chris Dean the replied for the Wolves with Daniel Brown tagging on the extras. Paul McShane then extended the Rhinos lead again with another conversion from Lawton before Simon Councell replied for the Wolves. Kenny Parkerís converted try took the Rhinos lead to 24-10 before Yaad Johalís converted reply on the stroke of half time took the score to 24-16.|
Johal then added a second try just after half time before Jonathan Schofield crossed to stretch the Rhinos lead to 30-20 with Danny Lawtonís conversion. It was all Warrington then as they took a grip on the game to dominate the last 15 minutes of the game. Tries from Alex Hurst and Adam Neal, both converted by Daniel Brown push the Wolves two points in front before a Field Goal from Brown took the Wolves to a 33-30 victory.
Disappointment for the Rhinos in their last game but there were again encouraging performances from Paul McShane, Mathew Fox and Kenny Parker. Danny Lawton was again perfect with the boot to cap a great three games. The SouthStander.com man of the match went to John Elkington for his all round effort on attack and defence.
