Brilliant Night at the Awards
Posted by southstander on February 14 2006 - 18:16:42

2005 Winner

A fantastic, if somewhat intimate, night was had by all members who attended last night '2005 Awards Presentation Night' in the Rugby Club.

We were joined by Rhinos stars; Kevin Sinfield, Ashley Gibson, Scott Donald, Jamie Peacock and Barrie McDermott, all of whom responded well to a grilling from yours truly and the gathered fans.

There was a great, if somewhat testing, quiz and a fantastic prize raffle for a cased 1999 signed Rhinos ball.

We illustrate the night in pictures.

The usual suspects, and some new faces, enjoyed a great evening.

Barrie got a grilling, and was told he would be the first inductee into the 'Hall of Fame'.

Scott Donald and JP were given a warm welcome and talked about their delight at being Rhinos.

Ashley Gibson presented as Academy Player of the Season.

Kev got his 2005 Player of the Season Award.

Lord Percy won the quiz prize.

Chris Reilly won the signed ball in the raffle.

And for good measure Stewart Harper was drawn out as the winner of Wayne McDonalds 2005 playing shirt which is now winging its way to him by Royal Mail.

Many thanks to all who attended a great night, I hope I'll see you all at the next one!
