2 Try first start
As the new season starts to raise its head on the horizon, and the lads get back into training ahead of the festive challenge, we take a backwards look at the season that was 2005.

We'll cover both the highlights, the lowlights as we wrap up 12 months of following the Leeds Rhinos.

In our review of the year we head for summer, as we hit May.


Bar Olympics night for Barrie McDermott testimonial sees the Players beat the Fans and raise 1500 in the process.....Under 21's slip to 36-31 defeat at Salford City Reds.....The Rhinos dispose of a spirited SM Pia side 70-0 in Round 5 of the Powergen Challenge Cup in front of only 7,705 fans at Headingley.....

St Helens suspend then sack Ian Millward for alleged gross misconduct.....Under 21's bounce back and smash Huddersfield 80-0 after leading 58-0 at the break......

Leeds win 60-4 on their first visit to Hilton Park in over 11 years. Lee Smith grabbing a couple of tries on his first start in first grade.....Under 21's game with Dewsbury finally played and the Rhinos romp home 68-6.....

Lacklustre Rhinos defeat Leigh 42-24 in return match at Headingley. Scott Murrell comes off the bench to make his Super League debut for the Rhinos.....Ian Millward appointed Wigan coach......Under 21's win 42-18 against Castleford at the Jungle.....

Rhinos go down to second defeat of season with 38-24 loss at Knowsley Road. Jamie-Jones Buchanan's hat-trick all for nothing as Saints new coach Daniel Anderson opens with a win.....Under 18's stage late rally to win 20-18 at Hull FC.....
