Rhinos Lose Thriller
Posted by southstander on August 31 2005 - 14:55:11

It was as close as you can get to lifting the Challenge Cup Trophy as the Rhinos came within one point of a sensational comeback victory against Hull FC. In the end, a gap big enough for a double-decker bus opened up and Paul Cooke strolled in for the winner as the clock counted down.

It will be a bitter memory for most Rhinos fans who were there, but as we said in the match report, the best side on the day won.

The Cameras of have sent us these photographs.

Perhaps Keith Shouldn't have played!

We got off to a great start with Calderwoods Penalty Try

But Hull never let us play our game.

Our play makers were stifled...

...and the big lads couldn't find a way through.

Battered and bloodied we tried our best...

...but this was one gap too far!
