Charity Concert for Barrie's Charity
Posted by southstander on August 04 2005 - 09:17:45

I've been asked by the New Wortley Labour Club to publicise a forthcoming event to raise money for Barrie McDermotts chosen Testimonial Charity 'Childline'.

As many of you will be aware, Childline is currently having a cash crisis and is on the verge of having to close down its night service, the time when children are most at risk.

If you can support this event, please do.

The concert event is to be held on the evening of the 16th of August at the New Wortley Labour Club. The concert will be held on behalf of Barrie's chosen testimnonial charity Childline and entry is just £1 per adult child and £0.50 for children. The steward of club is Lance Todd Trophy Winner and Loiners legend Steve Pitchford.

As well as the concert, there are a number of great items which will be auctioned on the night. These include;

  • 2 shirts worn by Barrie and signed by the squad
  • this years Danny Mcguire away shirt signed by squad
  • a testimonial ball signed by squad
  • a signed/framed G.B. photo of adrian morley
  • a 4ft x 4ft barrie photo montage framed and signed by squad
  • Tickets are available in person from New Wortley Labour Club, or by post (please include an SAE or I will not be able to send your tickets back to you). Please send your postal applications with cheques or postal orders made payable to 'Progress Lodge 1166 R.A.O.B'. Postal applications to;

    Ken Partridge
    153 Halton Moor Avenue
    LS9 0EZ

    Tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis, so get yours now.
