rhinoms Superleague XX Previews - Round Seven

When the Dragons and the Rhinos take to the field on Saturday evening they will be completing the last tie of round seven and all teams take the opportunity to get their games in early ahead of a busy Easter weekend.

It's a weekend without a standout game but with plenty of intriguing battles, many of which find us struggling to pick the winners. While Saints, Leeds and Warrington are all tipped to win, it could easily be that all lose and give hope to the chasing pack.

We take a look ahead to the weekends action here.....

This week its round seven and more or less a third of the way through the regular Season under the revised format.

Saints remain the unbeaten pace setters with the Rhinos looking a threat two points behind in second whilst Wire sit third on eight points we then have just two points separating fourth place all the way down to the bottom of the table so itís very much game on in the race for the top four.

Here are this weeks previews.

After getting a reminder that they arenít blazing a trail through SL during their defeat away at Cas the Drís mercenaries welcome the Vikings.

With both teams just a point behind the 4th placed Giants a win would be a massive boost for both clubs.

Both teams are showing good and bad signs performance wise but I think the more settled visitors should be slight favourites.

We know the hosts are capable of some good winning RL on their day but they lack consistency and balance.

It should be a decent game but I think itís an away win.

Both teams go into this fixture on the back of much needed wins not only that both looked more confident & convincing within their respective performances.

I think fancy their chances in this one and further down the line a top 8 spot.

When the Tigers get momentum they are tough to beat on their own patch and that will be key in this one.

Although they will arrive confident the B&Wís are still fragile and I think when they go behind it could be game over so Iím going for a home win & Taxi for Radders.

The hosts are proving to competitive more often than not and certainly carry a threat with the ball but defensively itís just not happening so the last Team they need to face is the League Leaders.

The unbeaten Visitors are setting the pace and in many areas the standards needed in 2015.

After another win this time against a fancied Wire they will travel East full of confidence.

History gives the hosts a chance of getting an upset but performances and results thus far point to an away win as the STís march on.

This is one of the fixtures of the weekend and in fairness should have been a TV game.

Both teams have stuttered form wise thus far but we know on their day both teams carry a threat and beat anyone in SL.

The visitors will need the win most though as they sit 2pts behind Wire in 4th should they lose and the gap gets bigger plus they will lose 4th spot given how the other fixtures have fallen.

For the hosts they want to stay in touch with the top 2 and maintain a grip on 3rd at the very least.

2 big packs with capable back lines it really does depend on who turns up and wants it more this week which is why I think home advantage is vital.

Potentially a humdinger of a game but I think the hosts will take the win.

A good fixture for ďSmileyĒ Wane and his cheap shot Pies to bounce back to winning ways in.

The visitors are on a losing run whilst their squad lacks depth and quality so they really are doing it tough now.

The hosts were well beaten by the Rhinos last week irrespective of what Donkey Kong was whinging about in the post-match press conference.

The Pies just arenít firing form wise so maybe if they concentrate on playing RL this week rather than taking heads off they might return to winning ways.

Another tough day at the office for the Wildcats as the hosts prove too strong this week.

After another defeat the hosts have lost their fire but more importantly their defence is nowhere to be seen.

The Blue Ďní Amber arrive sitting 2nd in the table after a bruising well deserved win against the Pies.

The visitors will be the favourites but if the Dragons get it right they are still capable of beating anybody so complacency shouldnít rear its ugly head.

Both teams have quality sitting in the stands but I still think it will be a tough close game but the Rhinos should have enough quality to secure the win.
