An explosive start to the new Super League season has left us with many talking points, surprise results and plenty of controversy we now reach Round 2.
DEVILS v. SAINTS
A clash more suited to Halloween perhaps?
The defending champs visit Dr Big Mouths patch on the back of a bruising week 1 win against the Dragons when once again Roby out shone everyone else on the pitch leading from the front.
The big spenders meanwhile were reminded that they have a way to go before reaching the dizzy heights as an “elite” SL team as Wire out fought and out classed them.
It should be a good game ,it’s the hosts first home game of the year and they welcome the defending Champions but already you sense the pressure will be on to win games for Harris and co.
Close but no cigar for SL’s mercenaries as the visitors remind them of what a winning team should be producing.

FC v. WOLVES
One of last weeks surprise results was when the B+W’s stunned the Giants on their own patch with a 19-0 win.
This week they welcome one of the favourites for the GF when Wire head east on the back of a tough but convincing win.
100% records on the line 2 teams brimming with confidence and new players on both sides hoping to make an impact but I the visitors just hold more aces and will battle out a good win.

RHINOS v. VIKINGS
After using their first “get out of jail free” card of 2015 last week which saw the Blue n Amber twice over turning a 14 point deficit in a come-back win the Hosts know they will need to improve defensively asap.
The Vikings arrive on the back of one of their best ever results which saw them bounce back from 16-0 down a Red Card and their star HB getting injured to secure a late draw v the Pies.
Both sides have shown character and defensive weakness in week 1 and who improves the most this week will be a key element in securing the win.
It’s Friday night and the first game of the season at HQ what could possibly go wrong?
Not one to tempt fate but I think the Rhinos will be too strong across the park and secure the points.

WARRIORS v. GIANTS
In recent seasons this fixture has thrown up some quality encounters and this one should be no different the Pies threw away a 16pt lead v 12 men and with Cry Baby Wane calling foul whilst questioning his team and the Vikings “playing injured tactics” expect the hosts to come out fired up.
However I’d also expect the visitors to meet fire with fire after they were nilled at home against FC on their first outing of 2015 so they too should be fired up enough to want to put the record straight.
I expect a blood and thunder encounter with both packs ripping in and hoping to get on top so their respective outside backs can show their skill and pace.
It could go either way but I think last weeks draw will go against the visitors as the Pies will be extra tuned in and be too determined to be prevented getting the win.

DRAGONS v. TIGERS
Both sides go into week two with nil pous but the Dragons showed a dogged determination going toe to toe with ST’s after losing Tonga in the first minute and Bosc getting forced off for an extended period due to new concussion protocols.
The visitors threw away a 22-6 lead at home as Wakey stunned them with a late fight back much to the disgust of their coach who will no doubt have them fired up this week.
I think with Powell guiding them the Tigers are still a dangerous team but losing Clark and Huby is massive in my opinion and I doubt they will have enough to dampen the Dragons fire in their own Den.
Another tough game but the hosts just edge it on their own patch.

WILDCATS v. KR
These two meet after late drama in their respective games last week for differing reasons.
The Hosts tipped for bottom spot by many stunned their neighbours with a late fight-back to secure a win no-one tipped whilst the Robins were left deflated after squandering a 14pt lead twice when they shipped in 40pts on their own patch.
The respective Coaches will be focussing on the positives more than the negatives this week for the Puddy Cats they’ll build on their resolve and the quality they showed whereas for the Robins they will look to repeat the promising displays by their new HB pairing in Kelly and Campese.
Neither team will want a repeat of their defensive frailties but I think the visitors hold the quality at HB and that’s where they’ll secure a hard fought win.
