rhinoms Superleague XVIII Previews - Round 19

Superleague 19 hits the ground running after a week off for the Exiles match.

The Tigers and Hull FC battle out the Friday night SKY fixture while the mouthwatering Warrington v. Wigan clash is held over for Monday night football.

The Rhinos have a trip to the Giants to look forward to on Sunday afternoon, on paper we've not got a hope in hell of the two points.

After Last week saw twelve out of the fourteen SL teams take a break for the England v Exiles match we get back to the regular SuperLeague season this week.

Here are this weeks previews.

Despite injuries for the visitors and Koucash wasting a reputed 6figure transfer fee on "top 4 ambitions" Whitehead the Saints should have more than enough this week.

Whatever the Reds owner throws around it still won't be enough this week or even this season to prevent a bottom 3/4 finish for his woeful team.

The hosts may put an effort of sorts into this game but the visitors will claim a vital win.

Despite some real improvements in form the visitors were well beaten last time out in France.

For the Tiggers they need to up their efforts for the full 80 and not just have promising spells here and there.

The games are running out and if the hosts have serious top 8 aspirations then this is a must win and they have a chance with the injuries and arrival of a brand new HB for the trawler crew.

This could be an entertaining game and i think the home side are capable of an upset but they'll need a complete performance to get the points.

I think the time off will help the hosts and see them more organised and take the spoils in a close game.

The hosts will be confident after destroying the B+W half of cods-ville last time out whilst the Red Mullets will arrive very confident after securing a shock win against the high flying Giants.

As has been the case for most of the year though you just don't know which Robins side will turn up and add in the hosts looking to build on their home form i don't think Dobson and co have enough this week.

Two big packs will make the contest fierce upfront but the host have far more skill and strike out wide.

The visitors ran the Pies and Champs close in recent outings but just didn't have enough to take the points.

The hosts go from one defeat to the next and will be desperate to get a win and revitalise any top 8 hopes they may still have.

This is another must win for both sides and I think home advantage may just be the key.

The hosts will need to up the gears and concentration but as we saw last year they can perform when under serious pressure and I think they'll just have enough this week.

Old razor blade gargler Betts might fancy his sides chances but once again he'll be left to bemoan his sides poor luck ,refs calls etc etc.

After a surprise loss the high flying hosts will see the decimated Champs as easy meat not least because of their recent record against us.

The visitors will travel knowing they will be written off by all and can approach this game with the pressure off.

However we've seen many times year after year what happens when we are told we can't ,won't or shouldn't win a game and as good as Brough, Cudjoe and Lunt etc have been beware the wounded and written off Rhino.

The young lads are 1 more game experienced and lets not forget despite the obvious step up in class and pace these u19 lads have lost just one game all year.

It will take a mammoth effort but if JP, Burrow and JJb lead by example the rest are capable of getting the win.

Never write off a Rhino.

Despite the arrival of Soward for the nags they are still a poor team and Wakey will see this as a great chance to get back to winning ways and rack up the points+ The visitors may compete in spells and the hosts are vulnerable defensively but they should win this with plenty to spare.

The game of the weekend is saved for Monday night RL.

The visitors continue to set the pace and tone for the comp but the hosts should start upping the gears now and they will see this as a great chance to cut the league leaders lead at the top.

This promises to be a high paced all action encounter with both sides ripping in.

For me home advantage is the key and I think that just makes the hosts slight favourites in a close hard fought war.
