rhinoms Superleague XVIII Previews - The Exiles Weekend
Posted by southstander on June 11 2013 - 15:15:46

by rhinoms

It's a quiet weekend for most, but try telling that to Sinfield, Burrow, Hall, and the rest of the Rhinos squad who are potentially backing up from playing for the Exiles on Friday night with a very important club game for the Rhinos on Monday against the Widnes Vikings.

Lets hope that the rugby league public get behind the Exiles fixture at the Halliwell-Jones, and then turn up in droves to support the Rhinos on Monday night.

This week we have the International match as England take on the Exiles then on Monday the Rhinos play the 1st of their two games in hand as the Vikings visit HQ.

Here are this weeks Previews.

ENGLAND v. EXILES

The most of SL take the weekend off as Coach McNanmara gest to test his England team against Bluey and the Exiles.

After the farce of last years second game it seems tickets aren't selling aswell as hoped even though this is billed as the most important one-off game as England prepare for the World Cup.

There are good players missing for both teams so the England lads selected get a good chance to get noticed whilst the Exiles will see this as agreat chance to upset the odds.

IF both teams rip in for the full eighty it could be a decent game so for me the first twenty minutes will set the tone.

I hope this is a tough competitive game and England get the test they want saying that I think England should win with some to spare.

RHINOS v. VIKINGS

The Champs get the chance to claw back two points from one of their games in hand but given the injurys and no doubt those on international duty backing up this will be a tough game.

The visitors have been very hot and cold this year despite their improvements on last year.

I think the Vikings will approach this with a nothing to lose mentality which makes them dangerous and they will still feel aggrieved after losing last week to a try that was given when many not as bad have been denied this year.

The young lads amongst the home side will be extra confident after last weeks win v Cas but there are some glaring holes to fill defensively and we are far from top form.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a tough game with plenty of errors and trys but the home side should still have too much and get the win which is more important at the this minute in time.

If you are travelling to a game enjoy the action and have a safe journey.
