Posted by southstander on September 06 2012 - 08:38:24

by rhinoms

It's the final round of the regular season and our regular pundit gives his thoughts on the round twenty-seven fixtures.

Thanks to rhinoms for a great season of punditry and his insight into the games in every round.

How will our predictions fare this week?

Read more here....

After the roller-coaster of twenty-six Super League rounds we finally reach the last regular season fixtures on the list.

This weekend the Pies will get the Hub-cap and the play-off places from third to eighth will finally be decided, here are this weeks previews.

WARRIORS v. SAINTS

Pies v ST's. It's party time at the Pie-dome as the LLS will be presented to Hock of the dead and co.

The visitors will be determined to spoil the party and put a marker down for the play-offs.

It's the fixture of the weekend and both teams will enter it at full throttle so expect a humdinger.

The hosts have deserved top spot but that doesn't mean they'll win the GF but they will hope a god win will set them on their way.

For ST's they will be a little disgruntled to be out of the top two but early season poor form ,injuries and the coaching merry go round haven't helped and in fairness third is about right.

A tough bruising encounter but the hosts will just have too much to have their party spoiled.

DRAGONS v. BULLS

With third still a chance the hosts will be going al out to get the win and gain some momentum prior to the play-offs.

The visitors arrive after finally knowing their clubs future is secure albeit on the back of a 70 point home humiliation.

We see some amazing performances from sports people/teams when facing adversity and the Bulls have been no different but the relief of the take-over has lifted that and now they will find their level which is outside the 8 and another defeat.

The hosts may start nervy but they have too much upfront and the guile out wide to take the points.

FC v. TIGERS

Although a top eight spot is secured the B+W half of cods-vile can use this as a training run or a chance to rest some niggles.

The visitors are just shot to pieces and Basil has long given up on this mob of over the hill ,over-rated and just cr## team.

A non event involving a pub team and a team of pretenders.

BRONCOS v. KR

If the top eight spots were awarded for whinging and chelping then Sandercock would be top by a distance unfortunately his team can't play for the full 80minutes and he's too busy blaming every man and his Cod rather than sorting the problem.

For the Nags they are doing quite well now they have a real RL Coach and not some kid who can do the job on a playstation!!

The home team will be looking to finish on a high and go into the off season with a winning feeling and i think they will.

REDS v. WILDCATS

The Reds are done and look to have no shape or desire left for this season but they will also want to end with a win as long as the remain in touch on the scoreboard.

For the Puddy cats they will want to put last weeks nervous efforts as far behind them as possible get back to the fast open RL that got them within touching distance of eighth spot.

I think if they start well the Reds may give the visitors a game which is the way i see it going but the Cats hunger and that extra quality will seal the play off spot for Agars pride!

GIANTS v. RHINOS

The defending Champs finish the season at the Giants again this year and just like last year they sit in fifth but can finish fourth if results go their way.

The hosts would love to beat the Blue 'n' Amber and get some confidence prior to the play-offs but they seem to be shot and lack any kind of form. the visitors will take some confidence form last weeks win albeit against a poor team and now is the time of year where we increase our intensity and "go to work".

It will be a tense for an hour or so but I see our quality just been too much for the hosts to handle.

VIKINGS v. WOLVES

There are only two questions about this game how many will TS rest? and how many will Wire win by?

The answer to the 1st will obviously have an effect on the second one but in truth the Wire are running hot and the hosts have no answers for that type of team.
