rhinoms Superleague XVII Previews - Round 20

In the Round 19 preview our pundits had mixed fortunes. Neither of them spotted the shock wins for Salford (over Warrington) or Bradford (over Wigan), but from the other five fixtures got the winner of all five correct and even guessed the correct winning margin for Hull FC over the Giants.

rhinoms on the other hand only managed three from seven after predicting a Giants win, and thinking that the Tigers would overpower Widnes.

Will they fare any better this week?

This week we are into RD20 of the SL season and the intensity and pressure is about to rise.

Here are this weeks previews.

This week the pretenders trawl into town and the Blue 'n'Amber go into this game on a three game, yet at times, unconvincing winning run.

The hosts will be looking to "put the record straight" after a loss the last time these 2 met but more importantly they need to build more confidence and be better in preparation for next weeks CC semi.

The visitors managed to skate their way to a win last time out and will arrive confident they have the mussle to net the win.

With four Rhinos playing mid-week and the Coach ignoring any sort of rotation this will be tough but the quality and determination we have will be enough to skate off with the points and leave the visitors in a dark plaice.

Who knows who is going to be around on sunday at the RFL toilet.

Will there be any coaches and who will be playing for he hosts is anyones guess but the visitors will wish they had any sort of coach or chance.

The visitors arrive on the back of a 50+ hiding at the hands of Leeds last week whilst the home faithful were pulling off mission impossible at the Pie dome.

There's a lot of unpredictability surrounding the game this week but one thing is for sure the broncos will lose.

Everything needed to win a RL game is in the dulls corner.

The season can't end soon enough for the hapless Tiggers.

The hosts really aren't gonna trouble the top 8 spots although basil will hope they get a winning run together.

This could be a total wipe-out by the visitors if they click and Cas don't respond.

With "El-bow" still missing and the tattooed pudding leaving ,a pretty weak small squad is again looking vulnerable although the imminent arrival of Ellis should boost them.

For the visitors they'll hope fat robbie savage and the mono-brow kid comeback from mid-weeks defeat confident and ready to play although they should have too much for the Rock ridge locals anyway.

For the red mullets it was a case of so near yet so far in a last gasp defeat away at ST's last week.

Meanwhile the visitors were destroying the much fancied and well placed Wolves and surprising everyone even their own fans.

The Reds have shown they can be very good when everything clicks but they've also shown some dire stuff and that's why they are out of the top 8.

The hosts are currently 9th and desperate to get into that 8th spot to save face with their bitter Reef rivals.

This should be a good game with both teams confident and having something to play for but home advantage and the fact the visitors 6 and 7 have played mid-week should just swing it in the home teams favour.

Unfortunately for the Puddy cats the visitors suffered a shock defeat at home last week which increases the likelihood of a "Pielash" this week. The hosts were well beaten in France last week and the last thing they needed was a sulking Pie mob this week.

Although the usual spirited efforts will no doubt come from the hosts they lack the quality to test an angry and determined Pie outfit the week before a CC semi.

After a great win last week it's back to earth with a bump as the plastic Scousers are this weeks visitors to the stobart.

Already winning more games than most gave them hope of doing should be enough for the hosts to build on for next year and already with some shrewd signings they'll be stronger next time around but until then it's gonna be more downs than ups.

A huge battle at the HJ this week when two big packs and two of the top four collide.

TS will have his Wolves snarling and chomping at the bit after their embarrassing efforts on tv last week.

The visitors arrive confident on the back of another win but knowing full well this is a tough game this week.

Some big contests upfront and some skill out wide from both teams will be on show but home turf just swing it for me.

Plenty of fire and bite from all involved but the points stay at home. Wire by 8.
