We enter round eight this week and already we have our first Super League coaching casualty, and
funnily enough it's our next opponents who have pulled the trigger. That should add extra "spice" to the fixture.|
Here are this weekends Previews.
WARRIORS v. WOLVES
A huge clash in store at the gravy pit this week when two of the SL big guns
The visitors have a decent record here and will be confident after returning
to winning ways albeit by two points last week.
The home side too enjoyed a winning feeling last time out after previous
humiliation against the wooden spoon mob.
Both sides need to improve defensively the home side maybe more so because
they again let thirty points in whereas for the visitors it was a first this year.
An end-to-end power battle in store and hopefully the quality will match the
expected intensity but I think the Wire will have too much bite.

BULLS v. REDS
The battered Reds visit the RFL commode this week and do so on the back of a
good hiding at the hands of the World champs last week.
Surprisingly the home side have now won in front of their own fans (at last)
and are now looking to build for a top eight challenge.
The home side are starting to really grind consistent winning performances
together and this week the visitors have a tough task.
I expect the visitors to improve 100% on last weeks mauling not least
because they aren't up against anywhere near the same class this time out
but I doubt it will be enough.
Whispering Potter will send his team out to grunt and grind again and that
should be just enough for the spoils this week.

TIGERS v. FC
Millwards' Country Bumpkins return home this week on the back of a Rugby League lesson
in Huddersfield last time out.
The visitors skate into town on the back of a pasting dished out to the
bottom team at home.
The beatings are mounting up for the hosts and they will be desperate to put
a performance in they can build on.
I think the Tiggers will show more bite and get their (webbed) claws into
the Pollacks of the visitors but won't have enough Prawn to finish the job.

KR v. GIANTS
The high flying Giants visit the red half of cods-ville this week after
another comfortable win.
The home side are improving and scoring some points but the noise is coming
more from their whining flat nosed coach.
For the visitors their coach seems to be busy denying where he is going at
the end of the season but he will have his FRS, AT and Pug ready for this.
Two big packs meeting could see plenty of fireworks and powerful
confrontations but I think the confidence and finishing power of the
visitors will be enough.
Another ok effort from chelpingcocks' lads but no winning "maggot" bonus.

SAINTS v. RHINOS
A visit to our Grand Final play-things this week for the Champs and they've already
ditched their coach, so expect then to be extra determined after losing four in
a row, and I don't mean GF's to us.
After dishing out a Rugby League lesson in a new stadium last week we again enter a
new ground and a home team short on confidence.
With Foster too busy checking out his hair, Meli just been Meli, and add in
the departure of the Strawberry Blonde and injured Machine it's a very
different looking Saints.
However we've been left on bricks far too often to take this game for
granted and hopefully will play to our potential and get the points.
With hometown Messiah and Rush in charge expect a much improved home team
not least with the expected return of Roby but still not enough to stop a
Blue 'n' Amber win.

WILDCATS v. DRAGONS
After a heartbreaking two point loss last week the Wildcats need to re-group and
re-focus because they face a good team in form this week.
The Dragons are firing and looking strong so they will see this as another two
points towards their top five march.
Much depends on what the home team can offer they've done well at certain
parts in most games but still not got a full eighty minute performance together.
IF they can do that they'll trouble the visitors if not it could all over
come half time.
Agars misfits will put their all in but not enough to douse the Dragons fire
and Deureu will lead his team to the points.

VIKINGS v. BRONCOS
It was "back to earth with a bump" as reality struck the Vikings in a 50+
point mauling last week after their heroics against the arrogant Pies the
The Broncos did OK scoring thirty points away at the Wire but still conceded 40+
which will worry the coach and proves they still can't defend.
Luckily for the southern visitors this week they get the chance to add
points into their plus column when visiting the worse team in the Super League.
For out of his depth Betts the clock is ticking towards his P45 and it may
not be much longer arriving after this week.
Not a 50+ this week but still enough kick to give out a hiding.
