rhinoms Superleague XVI Previews - PO Week 1

Will it be a weekend of shocks as we enter a month of play-offs? Or will everything go to league position?

Our tipsters cast an eye over the weekend's four games and see if they can pick out any surprises.

Read more here....

We've finally reached the business end of the season as this week we see the start of the play-offs.

After this week's fixtures only 6 will remain as 2 of the losers bow out for 2011.

Here are my thoughts on this weeks games.

A really tough opener at the IKEA flat pack.

The visitors are one of the very few who have beaten the hosts this year and beaten them well.

For the hosts they've already shown that they have "upped the gears" with the destruction of the Cod-eads and the Pies.

Two big packs and both have creativity at 7 and 9 but the hosts have the edge out wide.

Expect a close intense battle but I think the strike out wide will see the hosts through to a week off.

Out of all the fixtures this week I expect this one to produce the most tries.

The visitors have been incredible after their season was virtually dead 6/7wks ago.

The hosts have stuttered recently but putting 40+ pts on Salford will have boosted their confidence.

Both have 7's that lead well but both teams leak points.

I think the Red Mullets will give their all but the last two months of "last chance RL" will catch them out and the hosts will take the spoils.

The hosts Wire away aside have had some easy fixtures lately so they may just be "underdone" for this.

The visitors as far as I'm aware arrive as near to full fitness as they have all year so they must be confident of grabbing a win against their fiercest rivals.

The Pies start favourites and all the talk will be about Rat boy saving English RL and all the other Camel Dung Sky allow their Muppets to spout.

A tough and intense encounter but I really think Sts have the hunger and skill to finally get a win at the Pie-Dome.

The Cod-Eads are this weeks visitors to HQ and their departing coach sponge-bob will be desperate to finally get a win against the Blue 'n' Amber.

We've seen in the last couple of month's glimpses of the potential this team has and finally beating a top 4 team away last week will boost confidence and add belief.

We've had the visitors in our pockets all year in league and Cup but we should not take them lightly as their away win at Warrington earlier in the year highlights their capabilities.

Once again expect JP, Kylie and SL Darling Bailey to smash up the enemies pack and out wide their should tries for Hall and BJB.

The visitors will hope that their left side attack can finally fire against us because thus far Yeaman, Manu and Briscoe have fired blanks.

An exciting game in store but the hosts will have far too much and run out the biggest winners of the weekend.
