rhinoms Superleague XVI Previews - Round 24

The jostle begins for position within the top eight.

Just four games left to decide whole win the hubcap, who'll have to travel to Warrington in the play-offs, and where the Rhinos will finish the regular season.

Read more here....

As we enter the final 4 fixtures of the SL regular rounds the race for places within the top 8 is getting more intense.

Here are my thoughts on this weeks games.

A pointless fixture at Wrexham with the jellied eels desperate to restore pride and get a win playing against the farce of SL.

The players who wear the Red shirt will no doubt want a repeat of the Wakey performance to show they at least have pride in the club after getting a good old fashioned shafting by their own board.

The Quinns are just as pointless this year the early season cheer of their pearly kings and queens has long gone and the year can't end soon enough.

This is a must win for the boiled in the bag hosts.

The Dragons are going from strength to strength and will be a real threat in the play offs.

Agar is on borrowed time and his team is sinking faster than the Titanic although at least they are boosted by the news that the soap dodging Cyclops won't need paying next year.

Time for the home reef to show their mussle and sole but it won't be enough as the they will end as Moules Mariniere in face of the Dragon fire!

The Blue 'n' Amber return to HQ this week and we face our CC opponents from the week before.

The Wagon train makes the short journey to the big city still disgruntled that they lost a semi final that they deserved to lose.

Will Rangi play? Who knows ,who cares? I'm sure coach Matterson after he's stopped whining will realize he looked like a right doylem when he announced his "big fish" was gonna play and it was never in doubt.

Both teams will be looking to secure the points to get closer to a top 6 finish but the visitors will have run out of moonshine, the fiddlers will have tennis elbow and banjoes are plucked out for this week.

A tough game but not as close as last week.

A huge game for the scouse squatters this week.

Still bruised and battered after another semi loss they host a top 3 contender who had the week off.

This is a big test of the scousers resolve and the wannabe Giants arrive determined to show their top 3 ambitions are serious.

Fat Robbie Savage v FGB . Pug Faced Dwarf v Ricketts Roby and Mono -Brow v Helmet Lomax.

Battles all over the park but I think the backlash will just be enough for the hosts to pick the visitors pockets.

A relatively easy task for the Pies this week.

The Reds are really big outsiders for the top 8 but will hope to put a spanner in the host's top of the table ambitions.

Rat boy and co will be still buzzing after their semi win and Mcguire will have them focused enough to take the points.

A reasonable effort from the visitors but not good enough at this time of year.

Another fixture for the hosts to rack up their +points column. A complete mis-match and Wakey will continue to look to next year.

The Red mullets arrive at the pot-hole looking to put the final nail in Potters top 8 coffin and keep their own dreams alive.

This is must win for both although the pub team hosts can win they still won't make the 8.

Coach Morgan will be desperate to leave with his team in the top8 and this win will give them a chance of doing that.

Pay peanuts for season tickets you get a team of Chimps.
