Back at Full-back
by Matthew Horton

The Senior Academy are back in action tonight as they entertain Featherstone Rovers.

The Rhinos will be looking to build on the victory against Castleford last week. The game will be played at Scatcherd Lane, the home of Morley RFC. The game kicks off at 7.30pm and admission is free.

We preview the game here.

The Rhinos are forced into changes from last weeks winning team. Out go Captain Jason Golden (Illness), Carl Ablett (Shoulder) and most seriously John Gallagher with a broken hand. It means a few switches and recalls. Lee Smith returns at Full Back after the injury picked up at Leigh in First Grade and Jason Hart returns in the second row after missing last week with a "Dead Leg".

Jordan Tansey moves from Full Back to Scrum Half, Scott Murrell to loose forward and Iain Gordon (Stand Off) and Matt Gardner (Centre) make the run on team. Chris Buttery moves to the second row and Dave Tootill this week drops to the bench. Luke Gale and Michael Brown also get their chance on the bench along with Steve Brooke who is retained from last week.

The Rhinos line up is 1. Lee Smith; 2. Danny Williams, 3. Matt Gardner, 4. Ashley Gibson, 5. Francis Cummins; 6. Iain Gordon, 7. Jordan Tansey; 8. Luke Burgess, 9. Jamie I'Anson, 10. Luke Stenchion, 11. Jason Hart, 12. Chris Buttery, 13. Scott Murrell; 14. Luke Gale, 15. Michael Brown, 16. Steve Brooke, 17. Dave Tootill.

The teams met at the end of April at the Lionheart Stadium when the Rhinos run out comfortable 74-4 winners, a night that marked hat-tricks for both Smith and Buttery. Since then Featherstone have suffered defeats to Widnes (24-34) and Keighley (22-44) before a morale boosting 40-16 victory over Dewsbury last week. For Rovers stand off John Prestley and hooker Andy Kay were the picks last time out, so they are the men to watch from the visitors.

So if you are in the Morley tomorrow night get down to Scatcherd Lane and cheers the boys on. Its a marvellous facility and the bar is always open during the game. Directions can be found here.

A match report will appear on the site tomorrow.
