rhinoms Superleague XVI Previews - Round 13
Posted by southstander on April 28 2011 - 09:49:54

by rhinoms is currently two points ahead in the battle of the pundits.

What will this weekends, unlucky for some, round thirteen offer up in terms of shocks. Will the Rhinos overcome high flying Castleford? Can the Dragons continue their good form and get back to winning ways against the league leaders?

Read more here....

As we enter round 13 the shocks just keep on coming.

Here are my thoughts on this weeks fixtures.

The Blue 'n' Amber travel to our country neighbours this week and the Banjoes, Wrong Turn cast john boy Walton and co will make sure it's a very warm welcome.

After getting robbed by the scousers last time out the hosts will be determined to get the win this week and they will raise their game when the team from the city come to town.

The visitors managed to get maximum points over Easter but there's still plenty of improvement left in them and this week we manage to get Jamie "The Machine" Peacock back in the 17 so morale will be high.

The 6 fingered, Web footed hosts will prove to be a stern test and a major hoe down will be planned if they win but to no avail as the Rhinos are looking to show their true worth and will charge to the 2 pts leaving the locals without a shin-dig and the "moonshine" on ice.

The Hosts welcome the table-topping angels of SL this week.

Last time out the hosts got bogged down by the bad weather in their dour draw with Potters pub team.

The visitors arrive after a mixed Easter they were well beaten in Wrexham but then put 50 on a inconsistent Reds outfit.

This will be a battle of two big packs and a dual between Mono-brow and enfant magnifique Dureau.

This could go either way but I think the hosts will make their home advantage count after a poor game last time out.

A tough game but Astra thief and O'getdown will leave empty handed.

Two teams desperate for a win to help put their inconsistency behind them meet down south.

The hosts are playing some decent RL but not for the full 80 and the early season promise is dwindling away.

The Reds are the most unpredictable team in the SL one week awful and the next they play well which like their coaching predicament isn't helpful. An entertaining game in prospect and an interesting shoot out between Dorn, Gale and Randall against Patten, Holdsworth and Ratchford.

End to end action but the Reds will have too much and continue their up down run.

The home side welcome the defending champs this week after a very good win at home last time against the table-topping Giants.

The visitors look to be back on form after the earlier blip and will be looking to continue that form in Wrexham.

Coach Harris will have his team fired up after they were well beaten at HQ but they'll need to toughen up to trouble the Rat boy and co.

A valiant effort by the hosts but the Pies will be too strong and the "world class" shouts from porridge gun Clarke will ring out on boots 'n' all next week.

JK will have his team fired up for another unlikely win when the red half of cods-vile sails into town.

Both teams had a mixed Easter but the biggest win was claimed by the puddy cats when beating the Tiggers.

The circus that is "Willie" is finally over and no amount of blue pills, de-registering or flag sails could prevent him being a "Flop"!

Another tough game and with general Dobson back at the helm the hosts will look to skate up the table but to no avail this week.

Another great win for the unloved and under-rated Puddy Cats.

The much fancied Wire visit the Grattan land fill this week.

The hosts managed to scrape a point over Easter and although their performances looked much improved they still didn't win.

The visitors arrive on the back of another shock loss this time to sponge-bob and his over the hill pile 'o' dung.

2 teams desperate for the win but only one with any notable quality even though the TS 3yr syndrome is hinting at an appearance.

The hosts may have another decent go but not good enough as the "not as good as they think they are" Wire take the spoils.

The reef will be in great spirits when the shell suited pick-pockets arrive in town.

The hosts have managed to get two very good wins over the holiday period and sponge-bob still has a job.

The visitors were not so good in losing to their fierce rivals and then leaving Cas on bricks in the last minute.

Losing soap dodging Stig is a blow to the home side and although they have Obst and problem child Gleeson it's not gonna take them to the two points A tough game to call on current form but the OAP's of cods-ville will have their joints clam up and their mussle won't be enough to prevent KFC and co thieving another win.

If you are traveling to a game have a safe journey and don't forget it's a bank holiday.

Enjoy the action and thanks for reading.
