Support Steve and Win a Shirt
Posted by southstander on September 30 2010 - 10:38:13

We have bought in ten of these great Steve Prescott Foundation Five Marathons in Five Days running shirts to support Steve in his continued fund raising. And now we'd like to give them away (well almost) ...to you!

Support Steve and his charities and get yourself a great shirt - what could be better?

Find out how you can get one here....

The challenge started on the 28th September from the KC Stadium in Hull , a group of loyal supporters will run alongside Steve all the way to the Engage Mutual Super League Grand Final staged at Old Trafford Manchester United's Football Ground via Leeds Headingley Stadium. This will take four days and is a total of 104 miles, thus marathons.

The fifth marathon will be run on a treadmill with foundation volunteers completing the epic marathon run.

By donating to Steve, you will not only be supporting a man who is battling Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, a rare form of cancer, but you are also raising money for the Foundation's two beneficiary charities ...... The Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester and the Try Assist Fund which supports those who have been seriously injured whilst playing Rugby League.

To get your hands on a shirt is pretty simple, so long as you have charity in your heart and a little bit of luck.

Here's how;

1. Go to www.sponsor-me.org/supportforsteve.
2. Make a donation, as much as you can afford, in support of Try Assist and Christies Cancer Hospital.
3. In the 'Comments' section put 'RLFANS' followed by your messageboard username (so that we can contact you if you are picked to win a shirt) and your shirt size (M, L, XL or XXL) and any additional message. This would look like RLFANS - MyMessageBoardName - M - Good Luck Steve!

Then keep your fingers crossed that when we close this competition on Friday 8th October, you are one of the ten people who we pick out of the hat as a shirt winner.

We will contact all winners through PM on the messageboards to get their addresses to send them their shirt.

Many thanks - please give generously.
