The Damo Bit - 14th September 2010
Posted by southstander on September 14 2010 - 09:18:02

Back to his best, Damo enjoyed watching the Rhinos win on sunday evening and he pokes his head above the parapet to make a Grand Final prediction.

Turn away Warriors fans, you'll not like what you read!

The font is on seventy-two as I write this column. Reading forces me to zoom in 400% just so I can read what everyone is saying. When watching the rugby, I borrow my mothers glasses and I still have to kiss the screen just to check what the latest score is. Losing my glasses hasnít been the most joyful of experiences to have in my life.

But watching Leeds beat Wigan in any kind of vision is a joy to behold. Iíve had a fair few Ďrun insí with the Wigan fans over the years thanks to lists and the ĎIs it the end of the Road for Wigan Warriors?í video. Now here is another chance to add another Ďrun iní with the Wigan fans.

The Wigan Warrior GODS have won the league leaders this year on the back of putting their Brian Noble play-off form into this years regular season. This is the only thing that has changed under Michael Maguire, because this Wigan squad are more a less the same. The grand final dream is over for Wigan this year and itíll be another Leeds v St Helens final.

Donít be fooled by how Leeds were dismantled in the challenge cup final because I can guarantee it wonít happen again this season. We beat both Saints and Wigan to get to that final and weíll beat whoever comes our way in the play offs too.

Congratulations on your league leader Wigan. My sight may be blurred, but I can see clearly that Wigan wonít make it to Old Trafford.

Mark my words!
