rhinoms Superleague XV Previews - Round 27
Posted by southstander on September 02 2010 - 16:34:57

by rhinoms

The last week of regular rounds and the prize fund stands at a paltry 3.82. We'll keep the previews and bettings going throughout the play-offs. Only Number 2 has had a good season.

Thanks to rhinoms for all his hard work so far this season and hopefully you'll continue to enjoy reading the previews right up to the Rhinos Grand Final victory!

Read more here....

Well the final SL game of the season is here and there are still places to play for within the top 8.

Here are my thoughts on this weeks fixtures.

This week the pie-dome becomes

party-ville as the Pies look to celebrate their league leadership. The pub team from odslum are this weeks visitors and will hope to repeat what the Giants did and be party poopers the only problem is the Giants are a decent team whereas.....

Anyway the gravy will be flowing and I'm sure Clarkey will be there to make it a meat 'n' tatty love-in and celebrate an easy home win.

The season can't end quick enough for the hosts and there's also an announcement about their SL future on top of their coach and some of their better players leaving.

The visitors return to the capital in great spirits after there destruction of the Rhinos at Wembley and even have the luxury or resting some of their best players.

A crushing defeat to finally put to bed a poor season for the hosts. Wire by 16.

This week it's the shoot out for 4th spot and a second bite of the cherry at the Cod arena.

The hosts have a 2 week build up for this and will be fresh and ready whilst the forlorn Champs arrive after a nightmare visit to the Capital. To add to the visitors woes we picked a couple more injuries this time I the back-row to Jjb and young gun Clarkson.

For Agars sponge-bob cast they welcome back "the great unwashed" and home grown Prawn R.Horne.

A really tough game in prospect the Rhinos will have to dig deeper than the hosts trawl nets can go to get over the absentees and mental anguish of last week.

I really think that there's bite left in us and we can leave the cod heads feeling "sunk and their crab pots empty".

A must win for the deliverance faithful to have any hope of getting into the 8.

Unluckily for them the hosts are saying farewell to their flea pit and club stalwart Cunningham and will be in no mood for a defeat.

The wagon trail will head east after a season of what might have been and the banjoes Fiddles and brotherly marriages will be put on ice for another year.

This seasons surprise package welcome an in form Robins outfit this week with both teams pushing for good play-off places it should be quite a decent match.

Justin morgan has his red mullets in fine form and will be looking to build on that for the play-off series.

For Nobbys unloved they will be desperate to win in case of an upset at brookside but they need not worry.

This is a training run for the Giants to get their combinations and set plays sharp for the play offs.

The hosts are done for the year and have been for a while their best hope is that the new coach brings something fresh after a shocking year in the south of France.

The hosts can be pretty pleased with some of their efforts after returning to SL and they haven't finished bottom either.

The visitors have had a disappointing and disrupted year loss of form, their spoilt brat buggering off and old twitchy finger applying for other jobs. A good win for the hosts while the puddy cats will lick their wounds and look to bounce back next year.
