rhinoms Superleague XV Previews - Round 22

It is an early start this weekend with the Hull derby being played on thursday night for the SKY cameras.

The first match of the weekend promises to be an absolute belter, as do match ups between Wigan and Warrington, Leeds and Huddersfield and Castleford versus Wakefield. There could be a big shake-up in the league table come sunday night.

As we get ever closer to business end of the season the scramble for places hots up here are my thoughts on the upcoming fixtures.

FC v. KR

The Birds eye derby at the KC promises to be a big game for these two.

The hosts were out musseled last time out by the Puddy cats and will need to show they are no shrimps in the heat of battle. The visitors arrive on the back of the performance of their season when they outplayed the reigning champs with their pack in particular proving very strong.

There will be plenty of ill feeling and baiting and the team that keeps their composure could prove crucial.

The hosts are still without Stig and lacked serious (shark) bite last week whereas the Rovers had the sting of the Portuguese man 'o' war. Another defeat for the hosts, which will them really flat, and without sole whilst the visitors will trawl away with the spoils.

A real humdinger in store at the pie-dome the hosts grip is tightening on the hub-cap whilst this another chance for the "pretenders" to show their worth.

TS team go into this on the back of another cruise of a win against the tiggers where they were rarely tested and the hosts are in good form.

The Wire really have to win this to prove they are genuine contenders in my opinion but I don't see it. Will be interesting to how Fielden looks in 3D getting snotted by Mozz but that's the only highlight in store for the visitors.

The Champs return home after a poor game away in cods-Ville.

This week the "next big thing" is our visitors and they are boosted by the news that coach Brown is staying after all. Blue will hope to have reinforcements this week in the shape of Ali, Kylie and Burgess and they need it after a flat effort last week. The Visitors arrive on the back of a decent win against nobles outcasts but will be determined to prove their win at the Galpharm earlier in the year was no fluke.

Expect a backlash not only do we owe them one but the team will play in a special kit to represent our local cancer charities and in memory of the late great John Holmes.

Plenty of fire and a determined Rhinos pack to cut down the Giants.

A tough away trip for Nobbys unloved this week they've failed to fire really since their shock win at the champs.

This week the hosts are bouncing with confidence after they stormed KR for a shock win against the plastic scousers. The hosts should be too good in what could be an entertaining game between two teams from the outer reaches of the RL family.

The hosts are reeling after they were "left on bricks" last week in a role reversal by the Dragons.

The injury ravaged mighty "S" will be looking to bounce back but will face a multi-colored outfit full of confidence after destroying the Clowns from odslum last time out.

The visitors are further boosted by the news that their coach has his head screwed on and turned down a return to the Grattan land fill. The hoists are struggling for numbers and "blue circle" Wellens can only do so much another hard night "on the rob" in store.

The Reds are this weeks visitors to Manly retirement home and Knackers yard.

There's a change this week though because the hosts have finally chopped Mcbanana from their ranks after a run of 8 defeats. The visitors need not worry because they've put his even worse assistant in charge who was last in charge when they were spanked in Wales and his post match comments came straight from the nut-house.

Another game of boos and despair for the local few and the dog who attend this arena nowadays.

The wrong turn Derby down at the jungle and the camp fires will be burning and the banjoes will be dueling.

The hosts return home after a lesson at Wire last week whilst JK's mob arrive after a morale boosting win. This could get tasty especially as the visitors were the team that sent their web-toed hosts down into the championship a couple of seasons back.

A blood bath could be the end result as Wrong Turn meets the Hills have Eyes.

Away win and Cletus and co will have to cancel another hoe down.
