rhinoms Superleague XV Previews - Round 21
Posted by southstander on July 07 2010 - 15:50:57

by rhinoms

Just seven rounds of the regular season to go and our predictors are jostling for positions in the same way as our Superleague heroes are fighting for the top four.

Of our three intrepid pundits, Number 2 is leading the way with and rhinoms locked together just behind, ready to pounce.

Here are my thoughts on this weeks fixtures.

A real battle of the also rans down at the stoop made that slight bit more interesting with rumours getting stronger that Brian Mc's capital adventure may be coming to an end to return to the Grattan land fill.

I think the winner of this will be the team that actually bothers to worry about the game rather than what their respective coaches future is. I think the Bulls are gone and there's no way imo for the departing "uber coach" to get any momentum out of them especially after losing Scruton and Orford.

A tough away game in prospect for the depleted Champs. The hosts are really finding their mojo in the red half of codsville and Dobson is "Skating" them up into the top 8.

The visitors arrive on the back of back to back wins against the pretenders and our Grand final b#tches.

Although Bluey expects to be without Beastwood (leg) I think the momentum is gathering for a Blue 'N' Amber charge into the top 4.

The home side really doing it tough with injuries and have added both halves to the casualty list after their defeat last week at HQ.

On the upside they entertain the worst team in SL this week so should have enough to regain some points.

The Dragons really are the worst team in the league at the minute and the last thing they need is to be traveling to KR after the rotund strawberry blonde and his chums have just lost the week before.

I can't see anything but Potters men putting a spell on their Catalan visitors.

Another tough match for the hosts who stumble from one shambles to another. Twitchy must of thought they'd turned the corner after trouncing the Crusaders only to be brought down with a bang last time out against the Robins.

Birds eye Agar arrives after a good win at Odslum last time out without their soap dodging talisman and others.

I think JK has got a huge problem at BV and he didn't help matters by wanting to talk to other clubs and I think it just might cost him. I expect an away win and the visitors to have a Whale of time.

This week McRae's Salford out-fit visit the pie-dome.

The visitors will be boosted by a win last time out but the hosts are really cooking up to the LL shield.

The Pies will be without Coley this week after his red card in the sun last time out and although the Reds should put in a spirited effort I expect them to be out muscled.

They might be Giants return home after a trouncing last time out in Cas Vegas.

The future of coach Brown took a new twist this week and added to the "is he staying or not"? unrest at the "next big force in SL ". The visitors will be looking to get back on the winning trail after a comprehensive defeat against Wire last time out. I think the Giants will have too much but that will only paper over the cracks at the Galpharm.

After bouncing back with a convincing win last time out the pretenders entertain an in form Cas. TS will be looking for his wolves to devour the "wagon train" but may not get it all their own way.

The visitors arrive on the back of a 4 game winning streak including a pasting against the Giants.

The high 6's and hoe downs are in abundance at the moment but the banjoes will remain under lock and key this week.
