rhinoms Superleague XV Previews - Round 20

After a week away for fun in the sun I'm back and thanks to Hopie for doing a great job as stand in although a bit too serious for my liking Here are my thoughts on the upcoming SL fixtures.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weeks fixtures.

REDS v. QUINS

This could be an interesting match up between two teams who have earned some great wins this year then gone and got battered in others. Both are coming off the back of defeats but for the hosts they will be confident by the fact they scored 34 points against a rampant Saints whilst the Quinns were destroyed by a pie outfit in cruise control.

I expect a close battle but Mcrae will be more concerned about the franchise applications than Brian Mc's mis-firing refreshers.

RHINOS v. SAINTS

This is the game of the round without a doubt.

The Champs return to HQ after a fantastic comeback win with a decimated side against the Wire pretenders.

For the visitors they really are doing the business and have suffered injuries themselves along the way. The history between these 2 dictates a no holds barred slugfest with skill, pace and composure been key to the points.

Bluey will hope for a clean bill of health and maybe 1 or 2 selection surprises whilst FGB, Blue Circle Wellens and co will hope for a repeat win following their victory at KR.

Bring your hard hats and singing voices this is gonna quality and lets hope for another foot stomping, dummy spitting, acting like a spoilt ginger brat at FT from FGB.

CRUSADERS v. WOLVES

The taffs failed miserably to follow up their shock win at HQ and were well hammered by Wakey last time out. The Pretenders arrive on the back of another "realty check" after they were defeated at home by a decimated Rhinos out-fit.

I expect Nobby to have his undesirables up for this against TS and his wannabes but not enough to get the 2 points.

The visitors will have too much for the Welshmen and cruise to 2 points and another false dawn.

DRAGONS v. WARRIORS

A real tough ask for Walters and his "enfants terrible" they really toughed it out in a narrow defeat at birds eye HQ the last time out but will find the Pies a much tougher proposition.

The hosts are getting some of their quality players back and Sherwin will be more settled after a few games but I don't think they have enough firepower to rattle the league leaders.

The Richards inspired Crustys will have too much "Meat and Gravy" for the hosts and cruise to the 2 points imo. Pies by 18.

BULLS v. FC

Another home defeat at the crater of dreams beckons for Mcbanana and his group of "has beens and never will be's".

This week FC trawl into town and although Stig is out for the foreseeable future they'll have too much mussel for hosts.

The best the hosts and their few faithful can hope for is a narrow defeat and more BS of excuses from the powers that be.

TIGERS v. GIANTS

The self labeled "new power" in RL visit the jungle this week and they will be looking to improve on the "get out of jail" effort they put in last week.

For the hosts they were "barn dancing" into the small hrs after a good win against the Bullsh#t.

This week I expect the "dualling banjoes" and "cotton eyed joe" to remain under wraps and a posse of protests against the coach at FT. Browns team will have too much power for the tiggers this week and expect more declarations of power shifts etc from flying poop and his delusional pals.

WILDCATS v. KR

Twitchy Kears men ended their losing streak in fine style last week but this week they will face a disgruntled and much improved Robins. JK seems to have franchise bids on his mind going by the YEP article but he'd be better served using his time and energy on how he's going to stop Morgans outfit climbing up the league.

A hard fought match in prospect but I think the Dobson inspired Robins will have too much for the unloved Cooke and co.
