rhinoms Superleague XV Previews - Round 15

Who'd be a pundit?

Last weeks easy looking fixtures turned into a predictions nightmare with Salford beating Saints, the Rhinos cruising to victory over a high-flying Wolves, and the Giants running the Warriors close.

How will our interpid score guessers fare this week?

Read more here....

As we enter the 2nd half or "Business end" of the season here are my thoughts on the upcoming fixtures.

The mighty "S" return home after suffering a surprise defeat away at Salford despite the best efforts of "enfant terrible" Alibert and Steve "call me Saint" Ganson.

They will face a HKR side boosted by the demolition job they did on Nobbys plastic taff outfit.

The hosts are still missing some quality but should have too much for "coach elect"(if the rumours are proved correct.) Morgan and his charges. Saints by 16.

The hosts are coming off the back of an old fashioned pasting and face the league leaders who go from win to win.

For the plastic taffs there will be a re-shuffle after Mr Raynor is forced to spend a few months holiday at her majesties pleasure.

The Pies will be more than confident for this one and I expect them to leave nobby feeling like he'd he thought he was bidding on Canon printer cartridges only to find it meant they'd been "fired" from a canon and not actually the "real thing".

Will the real Salford turn up this week?

After a fantastic performance and win against Saints last time out the careers advisor at job-centre plus should of deleted Mr McRae's file for at least the 5th time this season.

However, I expect Mr walters to be picking up his P45 shortly. His squad is decimated, low on form/confidence and what little quality he can get out on the park they more often than not perform well below par. All things considered I expect the hosts to scrape a home win as the visitors resort to their "Jekyl and Hyde" performance.

A repeat of the CC fixture but the Giants will be praying for a different outcome/performance.

The hosts are back home after been handed a reality check against the defending champs. What the season has shown the "pretenders" so far is that they'll need to do that bit more than hammering the "also rans" to be true contenders. The Giants are really doing tough their Coach is off as is their captain and best player the signing of "mono-brow brat" Brough hasn't quite worked yet and they stumble form one defeat to another.

I think the best the Giants can hope for is that with the injuries the Wire are carrying at the moment they can get within at least 2 scores. More woe for the other "Brown" who is leading his party to a crushing defeat and obscurity.

Wolves by 14.

A real must win game for the "Hills have eyes" hosts this week. They bombed a decent lead last time out and are showing their true level in the SL pecking order.

The Arlie birds "Trawl" into town looking to net 2 more points. With Stig back and some confidence gained from there exploits at the Dragons plaice I think the fish fingered visitors will have too much for the tiggers.

Coach Matterson is hanging onto his job by a stump and that grip will loosen further after another home defeat.

Two teams with complete opposite levels of confidence and performance. The hosts are "finger twitching" from one defeat to another despite some reasonable starts.

Brian Mc's southern kaleidoscopes are on the up and with their squad starting to get re-inforced with the return of their better players they will have too much "colour" in their play for the mis-firing wannabes.

The game of the round in my opinion and thankfully SKY have got this right by picking this as a televised fixture.

The hosts are boosted after coming back from a 10 point deficit last time out and the possible return of Langley and $$Orford.

The visitors arrive after putting the "pretenders to the throne" in their place at HQ without the inspirational Peacock.

The Champs arrive after suffering more injuries to Talisman Peacock and Young gun Clarkson and are missing the mercurial Webb after the disciplinary showed the best example yet of the inconsistent numpties that are employed at Red hall.

Last time these two met the Rhinos let the Dulls get away with a good start and a big lead before hitting back for a draw.

However this time as with the Wolves last week I expect the Champs to put the Crater of dreams residents firmly in their place and leave Mcbanana feeling as empty as the Grattan land fill.
