rhinoms Superleague XV Preview - Round 12
Posted by southstander on April 23 2010 - 07:54:31

It seems like an age since rhinoms imparted his words of wisdom but it is only a fortnight as we took a break for the Challenge Cup.

There are just 21 shares left to take part for the predictions cash prize - so get yours now.

After a week off for the CC we resume the SL quest this weekend here are my thoughts on the upcoming fixtures.

The Quins will visit the table toppers in good spirits after running a Childs inspired Saints close they dispatched the Wildcats out of the cup.

The pies will welcome 'easier' opposition after shipping in 34 points against championship team Sheffield and I expect Coach Mcguire to of cracked the whip this week to tighten the defence.

A spirited effort from Mcdermotts rainbows but I think the home side will have too much "gravy" and drown out the visitors. Pies by 16.

A return to the KC for John Kear where both teams will be looking to bounce back from their respective cup exits, Wakey narrowly missing out down south whilst "chav corner" and panto muppet Luakai were getting a RL lesson off the Champions.

With Agar missing the "great unwashed" and inspirational Berrigan, the KC isn't a happy plaice at this moment in time and the locals will expect their "battered" pack to stand up to their former coach and his traveling hillbillies.

If anyone likes to rock the boat it's JK and I think his "puddy cats" will show their claws and leave the home faithful doing what they do best throwing bottles and chelping about their inept coach.

This years first meeting between the "old adversaries" and it comes at a time when the Champs are finding their mojo and getting players back.

For our "shell suited" hosts they've gone quietly about their business and also suffered injuries none more so to their marquee signing Sia "rich tea" Soliola. They've had some good wins but looked vulnerable against the Quins a couple of weeks back and were thankful for Mr Child putting in a M.O.M performance for them.

It's the game of the round no-doubt at all and to see Ryan "Blueys Angel" Bailey go up against James "where's my dummy" Graham should be worth the entrance money alone.

A tough game but the Rhinos are beginning to charge and I think they can overcome any "spell" Potter has planned.

TS has got his team more consistent this year as expected and they go from strength to strength. This week they welcome the Dragons who it has to be said have breathed more halitosis than fire.

The Frenchman had a much needed win in the cup last week but I don't think they'll get anywhere near the home team this week.

I expect the Wolves to bite and leave the Dragons as good as extinct in this years race for the eight.

This could prove a decent test for Browns visitors nobbys misfits and unloved have proved so many doubters wrong with strong performances and are reinforced by the arrivals of shicofske and hansbury.

The Giants easily dispatched a poor Robins side at the weekend but should get a better resistance from the not so local Welsh side.

Well I never, Mcbanana has got the crater of dreams residents on an unbeaten run just before the RFL inflict him on us as the new England coach.

After nilling the Rams at the weekend they welcome the wounded Robins who will be desperate to improve on that "effort" at the Galpharm last week. For the home team they will be confident of sending the 7k loyalists home happy but this could be the game that J.Morgan and his team need to get back on track.

Ok maybe too much chuckling.

The home team will be looking to banish last weeks farce from memory when Mcrae visits with his up and down Reds. What's happened to the home team?

After winning their "cup final" and the 6's flying round HQ the open top bus parade and a public holiday in Cas Vegas it's all gone to pot! Protests against the board, coach and team, cousins refusing to marry cousins and "superstars" clubbing when they should have been at home in bed the town is in disarray.

This week they play the unpredictable Reds and I expect the tale of woe to continue for the heartless home team and plenty of four fingered pointing at FT.
