rhinoms Superleague XV Previews - Round 8
Posted by southstander on March 25 2010 - 09:52:02

New Tipster
by rhinoms

Last week Number 2 picked up a commendable eight points, rhinoms scored six points in the predictions and Southstander.com scored just four. In the league table overall it is a closer margin with Number 2 just a point ahead of SouthStander with rhinoms trailing in their wake.

How will our predictors fare this week?

There are just 23 shares left to take part for the predictions cash prize - so get yours now.

After another up and down week in terms of predictions rd 8 is upon us already;

WARRIORS v. RHINOS

Into the valley of death rode the 600...

Not quite the charge of the light brigade but I'm sure you get the picture in terms of the task facing blueys decimated battle weary troops this week We go to the form team of the comp this week and we all know how hard it is to leave fortress pie-dome with anything at the best of times let alone the current situation we find ourselves in.

The pie-men go from strength to strength whilst the forlorn champs keep battling without reward.

Hopefully some of the walking wounded will return and there maybe an old/new face in the 17.

A very long night for the Blue and Amber faithful but I've found those B'n'A tinted specs just in time.

BULLS v. QUINS

A real battle of two out of form teams at the Grattan landfill and MacBanana's faithful won't be fulfilled with glee after hearing they are destined to stay at the Crater of dreams indefinitely after the OSV fell through.

The Quinns are still down on numbers and quality but put in a more than worthy effort last week against the Giants who had Bentham as their M.O.M.

I think that the Dulls will just prevail in this one and then the old cliché's of "the season starts here" etc will be rolled out by the T & A.

TIGERS v. CRUSADERS

This promises to be a pretty decent game Cas are struggling at home but will take some comfort from their efforts against last week.

Meanwhile the Welshmen got another win on the board against the poor French but they saw their marquee signing leave the field after 30 minutes with tweety pie singing in his ears.

Whilst you can't take away what knobby has achieved with his squad of unloved I think Cas are about to finally get the home win they crave and the Barn dances and banjos will be in full swing.

WOLVES v. WILDCATS

A good game in prospect between two teams that have started the season well. This week the "nearly" Wolves return home after another close but no cigar effort away at brookside.

They welcome a changed Wakey who have replaced one alleged problem child for another but they picked up a confidence boosting win after been battered by the Giants.

I think it will be a good game not least because both teams play attractive RL but the Wolves will have too much firepower at home.

REDS v. FC

This week McRae may finally need that job center plus number.

They return home after another defeat and face a tough ask against Agars confidence filled outfit.

I really can't see anything other than Ull trawling another win against another team lacking quality and confidence ala Quinns.

DRAGONS v. KR

The Robins travel over the channel with a confidence boosting win at HQ and face a shredded Dragons outfit who have just had another kick in the preverbials with the news that Star 6 Mogg has left to return home. Add to that they are missing the inspirational Bosc and Greenshields and they are in the mire big time.

A much improved performance at home from the Frenchmen but alas to no avail and the red half of humberside will douse the Dragons fire.

GIANTS v. SAINTS

A real battle royal could erupt at the Galpharm where the in form Giants take on the reinforced Saints.

The Giants are high on confidence and playing some good stuff at present whereas Usain Wellens and co have been boosted by the return of some of their stars and the form of "boy wonder" Eastmond.

Should be a cracker and should have been on TV but I have a feeling the Potters men are gaining momentum.
