Tad Rhinos Superleague XIV Preview - Round 27

With the hubcap almost secure after last fridays 'battle of Headingley' the Rhinos travel to Salford City Reds looking to finish the season in style and head into the play-off with a nine from ten record.

Most eyes will be focussed on the proceedings at the KC Stadium where everyone not from Bradford will be hoping that FC can do the business and keep the Bulls out of eighth spot.

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIV, final weekly round;

FC v. BULLS

The Bulls have hit form at last but will find this a tough one. Hull have nothing to play for and it's there last home game so I expect them to have a real go. With the Bulls having to win though I expect them to come away with the points.

Bulls by 10.

REDS v. RHINOS

At the time of writing we wait to see what the RFL hand out bans wise, but even if all three are banned, i would expect Leeds to be far too strong for the Reds. Kirke, who I though was excellent last week after his long lay off, will fill in at prop and will better for more game time, while Ratu and Worrall are more than capable deputies. The Reds will make a fight off though, but I expect the boys to confirm top spot.

SAINTS v. DRAGONS

Saints will be weaker this week too, as Wilkin is still hurting with a bruised ego after his posturing didn't cut any ice with SL's old man, and James Graham was last seen in mothercare looking for his teddy and dummy along with the rest of the things he threw out of the pram last week.

I expect Saints to rest a few although they will still be too strong for the Dragons who have failed to kick off from last season. Saints by 18.

WILDCATS v. KR

Both sides are firmly ensconsed in the play-offs and I fail to see why SKY have decided to show this as a live game. Again expect both sides to rest a few with Rovers too good for the home side.

TIGERS v. CRUSADERS

At last some respite for Celtic with the seasons end in sight. Cas need a win and they will get one although I think there season could only last another week.

GIANTS v. WARRIORS

The Pies need a win to confirm a 5th place finish while the Giants are set for fourth and a trip to the champions in the play-offs. I expect Wigan to show far more urgency while the Giants will be hoping for no injuries.

WOLVES v. QUINS

With the 'Quins on a seemingly endless downward spiral they travel to a Warrington side who are desperate for a win, although this still may not be enough to clinch a play off place.

A routine win for the wolves.
