Tads Superleague XIV Previews - Round 9

The SouthStander.com top predictor Tad Rhino took a bit of a beating on friday night, along with fellow predictor Oldham Rhino. Both out pundits only managed to get two out of seven outcomes correct. SouthStander.com had a bit more luck predicting four out of seven, but however you look at it the outcome wasn't great for our terrible trio.

With second round of Easter fixtures looking, will our experts fare any better?

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIV, Round 9;

DRAGONS v. WARRIORS

Looking forward to this TV game on Monday as the Warriors travel to France. The Dragons are either brilliant or awful, look at the two halves v Bradford in the cup. With the exception of a good show on thursday night, Wigan have usually been pretty consistent this season. Rubbish! No go forward, poor halves and a disjointed backline. A Dragons victory and no points over easter for the Goons.

CRUSADERS v. 'QUINS

A real tight game in prospect in Bridgend which could go either way. This will be a great chance for the celtic boys to get some points on the board although the 'Quins will see it as a good chance to consolidate a play off place. Could go either way but I fancy the 'Quins to nick it by 8.

KR v. GIANTS

Another tough one to predict as the Giants travel to Craven Park. Both teams seem evenly matched and it could come down to an individual play or a mistake. I think Dobson could be the difference and he will just see HKR home.

RHINOS v. REDS

I expect leeds to rest several players on Monday for what should be a comfortable win against the Reds. Salford had a good win at Hull in the cup, and overcame the Wire on Friday, but that apart have been very, very poor. They have some decent players but have to many also rans. A good chance for Leeds youngsters to get some game time under there belt.

SAINTS v. FC

Hulls early season form has deserted them lately while Saints seem to picking up on theres. With Saints having an extra days rest I can only see them picking up the points. Hull badly need a win to get there season back on track but it wonít be today.

WILDCATS v. BULLS

After a massive boost on friday night with the win over the Rhinos, are McBanana's side about to make a charge up the table? This is a tough ask for both teams after both had a winning derby game last Friday, and another big crowd and good game is in prospect. The 'Cats need a bit of luck the way there season has gone and I fancy them to win this one by 12.

WOLVES v. TIGERS

Cas have a good record here and are the form team of the two, despite friday nights loss. Wolves are hit and miss as they adapt to life under Tony Smith. Both sides have a decent go forward but Cas have the more cohesion and pace in the backs. A close game I think but Iím going for the wolves by 6.
