Tad Rhinos Superleague XIV Preview - Round 3

A big weekend for Leeds, and a big weekend for our predictions quartet.

Take a look at Tads appraisal and predictions and then see how Oldham Rhino and myself agree with our new pundit.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIV, Round 3 and that all important World Club Challenge;

FC v. DRAGONS

Another good game in prospect at the KC on Friday night. Hull are looking for three wins out of three while the Dragons look to emulate last weeks win at Warrington. Hull donít have a soft underbelly like the wolves though and I take Hull to win by 10.

WILDCATS v. WOLVES

Wakefield go into this game after a great win over a poor Salford team last week. Warrington have been awful this season. no heart, no tactics, no shape and I don't see them getting near Wakefield. The Wildcats by 12.

BULLS v. GIANTS

Should be a cracker this one, should be on SKY for us all to enjoy. The Bulls had 80% possession against HKR but didnít have the guile to get across the line. No change there then!!! The Giants were supurb in france and pretty good against Saints last weekend, the scoreline certainly didnít reflect the game. A fierce forward battle in prospect and a close game for the few fans who will be in attendance.

The Giants to sneak it by 4.

SAINTS v. KR

Saints but in a dogged performance last week while the rovers put in a huge effort against Leeds. I think last weeks bruiser will affect rovers and Saints will have to much for them. One things for sure, Saints will have to score plenty of trys because our nomadic friend had two left feet last week!!!!!!!!!

TIGERS v. REDS

My Cas supporting mate said the tiggers were supurb last week in the first half although the Warriors were diabolical. Salford were poor at Wakefield and it says much when 73 year old Robbie paul was their stand out players at Belle Vue. Cas will have to much for the Reds and I fancy them to win by 16.

'QUINS v. WARRIORS

Just my opinion but wigan deserve everything they are getting at the moment, which is nothing!, due to nobles anti English selection policy. They were garbage at home to Wakey and Castleford and not much better at Hull despite nobles protestations. Quins were battered at Cas but a great defensive display saw them home. Noble to move nearer the dole queue after they get a hell of a beating by the cockney boys.

Quins by 12.

RHINOS v. SEA EAGLES

This is so difficult to predict. David Bywater suggested a few weeks back, to derision by some posters, that Leeds were treating this as another game and were not trying to peak for it. I have to agree. Last season we flew out of the blocks and suffered big style in the mid season. We have been much more cautious this season and have eased our way through the first two games although last week was a real bruiser. Leeds have had games but are decimated with injury and at this point nobody knows what team we can put out.

Manly have had one run out but are at full strength apart from Kite who was left at home. I see a cracker of a game with plenty of points.

Manly to sneak it by 6.
