After last weeks start for four sides we're into the first round proper of this years Superleague and we unleash Tad Rhino on a full weekends fixtures for the first time.

Take a look at Tads appraisal and predictions and then see how Oldham Rhino and myself agree with our new pundit.

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIV, Round 1

FC v. WARRIORS

Nobby will want to put humpty together again and get back on the horse, as well as other gibberish, after last weeks disaster against Wakefield. Hull will be up for this one though and a great game is in prospect. Why this is not on SKY, instead of Salford-celtic, I do not know. Nobby under more pressure as Hull win by 8

SportingOdds Handicap: Warriors +4

RHINOS v. WILDCATS

The Wildcats will be full of confidence after last week and have a decent record at Leeds. Leeds need to improve a lot after last weeks second half display, and need to be more clinical in attack.

Another good game in prospect and Leeds to win by 14 after a tight first 60 minutes.

SAINTS v. WOLVES

A difficult game to predict. The underachievers need a win and a good start to give them the self confidence to go for silverware and Saints are often vulnerable at the start of a season. This could be a close, end-to-end game like last seasons cup game.

The mighty S to triumph by 8.

DRAGONS v. GIANTS

The Giants could have a decent season this year and may push our European cousins all the way in this one. However home advantage to tell and Les Cats to win by 10.

REDS v. CRUSADERS

The battle to avoid the wooden spoon starts early this season at the Willows. Salford have had a pretty decent pre-season and I expect them to shade this one in front of a massive crowd of several hundred.

The Reds by 12.

BULLS v. KR

Another game that could quite easily go either way. My crystal ball suggests a close game and one that would be worth turning up to. HKR will bring there usual 120,000 while the Bulls will cheer when they are told to.

Bradford by 10.

TIGERS v. QUINS

I expect the Tiggers to do OK this season while the boys from the sarf have taken a big gamble on unknown or lower league players. The Tiggers to send the 'Quins back down the M1 with nothing.

Tiggers by 14.
