Superleague XIII - Season Review DVD
Posted by southstander on November 07 2008 - 15:51:23

10th November 2008

A two DVD set of the best of the action in a sensational Superleague Season, capped with the season finale at Old Trafford in front of 70,000.

Disc One

The entire dramatic story of the 2008 engage Super League season. Featuring key game highlights of all 12 clubs and exclusive interviews with the coaches and star players from rugby league’s elite.

Champions, Leeds, were the early pace setters before Saints storming run, while Catalans emphasised their ever increasing maturity with a third place finish.

Wigan continued their improvement under Brian Noble and there were shocks aplenty at The Jungle where newly promoted Castleford beat both the Rhinos and St Helens. Everyone really could beat anyone on their day.

Great games, fabulous tries and some sensational individual performances made engage Super League XIII one of the best yet.

Disc Two

Almost 70,000 fans packed Old Trafford to witness the most absorbing Grand Final in years and, in a repeat of last year, St Helens, winners of the League Leaders’ Shield, met Leeds Rhinos for the ultimate prize.

Man of Steel, James Graham put Saints ahead, but by half time they were behind as Leeds adapted better to the wet conditions and continued to deny St Helens from producing their best.

Enjoy again, the whole match in full, plus celebrations and interviews from a fantastic night in Manchester.
