After last weeks comfortable victory over the Cougars the Rhinos do make changes to a winning line up. Gareth Morton is left out to give Wayne McDonald the opportunity for some game time as the second overage player. Iain Gordon gets the nod at full back in place of Lee Smith, whose non-appearance may well suggest that he will feature in First Grade at Wigan on Friday night. John Gallagher steps up from interchange to start at Scrum Half. Jason Hart also steps up from the bench but Luke Burgess goes in the other direction to make room for McDonald. Francis Cummins continues his return from injury on the wing. Danny Williams and Matt Gardner exchange places as well, but there is a suspicion the Cumbrian may be used in the second row during the game.|
The Rhinos line up is as follows 1. Iain Gordon, 2. Danny Williams, 3. Ashley Gibson, 4. Chris Buttery, 5. Francis Cummins; 6. Scott Murrell, 7. John Gallagher; 8. Wayne McDonald, 9. Jamie I'Anson, 10. Luke Stenchion, 11. Jason Golden, 12. Jason Hart, 13. Carl Ablett; 14. Jordan Tansey, 15. Matt Gardner, 16. Dave Tootill, 17. Luke Burgess
This will be the Rams first competitive game of the season, they did not take part in the grading phase and opted to just join the competition from this stage. Last week, to maybe not help matters, they had the bye and played a friendly against the 17th Parachute Regiment although the score is not to hand.
I expect the Rhinos to run out comfortable winners and if you are in the LS6 area tonight pop down and cheer the lads on. Don't forget after the game the SouthStander.com man of the match will be presented with the watch in the Supporters Club, if you wish to vote for your man of the match contact me during the last 10 minutes of the game.
A match report will appear on the site sometime tomorrow.
Bar Olympics tickets available from me pre and post game as well.....
