Loiner4Life's SLXIII Round 27 Preview
Posted by southstander on September 05 2008 - 10:36:37

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

It's the last regular round of the season and nothing short of a miracle will see L4L or SouthStander.com pipping the mighty predictor Oldham_Rhino to the pundits crown.

It's not an easy weekend to predict either, but our boys give it their best.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII final weekly round.

SAINTS v. WARRIORS

Hope from the Leeds fans that Wigan may do leeds a favour here but I pretty much doubt it to be honest, Wiganís record with Saints under Daniel Anderson is very poor indeed. Saints could suffer from the same set of circumstances as Leeds did after the World Club Challange when they lost to Castleford so there maybe a little hope for Leeds yet. Can only see one winner to be honest and itís the hub cap staying in the Saints cabinet. Saints by 14.

WILDCATS v. RHINOS

Leeds will most defiantly play their part in tonightís climax to season i most defiantly expect Leeds to win by the point margin required mainly because we are coming up against a team in poor form and nothing to play for. Leeds could welcome back JJB, Bailey and Donald and apart from the right centre position Leeds are at full strength.

TIGERS v. BULLS

The bulls seem to enjoy playing the Tigers this season and have put some pretty high scoring wins against them and i expect another one here. This game will be Joe Westermans last chance to impress Tony Smith this season so expect a big game from him. The bulls as like the past several weeks have their injury problems and form some reason i just fancy to Cas to give their fans something to cheer about in their final game of the season. Cas by 8.

WOLVES v. GIANTS

Warrington will be using this game to get some form going into the play offs, Huddersfield have nothing to play for so the result should only go one way. Form for Warrington has been a bit up and down the past few weeks but will most defiantly get the win here. Wire by 18.

QUINS v. DRAGONS

The Dragons will be hoping to put a game on to prove to people that this season isnít a 2 horse race and i think they might put a decent margin on this weekend and just give there play off opponents something to think about credit where credits due they have had a fantastic season and certainly proved me wrong with their 3rd place finish. Harlequins and shown the odd glimpse of what there are capable off but a win here and there isnít good enough. Dragons by 24.

KR v. FC

Apart from bragging rights nothing to play for here. FC will be still feeling down from getting defeated last week but will also have in the back of their minds what a disappointing league campaign itís been for them. They have had injuries but so have Leeds and Hulls academy is supposed to be one of the best so whatís happened? If iím honest i think KR have been disappointing too this season i really expected them to be in the top 6 this year with the amount of players they brought in. Home advantage in this one.
