Loiner4Life's SLXIII Round 21 Preview

Not L4L!

Well, not many picked the 1 point games last weekend.

Round 21 of engage Super League and some interesting clashes for our intrepid threesome to pick this week, including a Challenge Cup Semi Final rehearsal.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII Round 21.

RHINOS v GIANTS

When youíre in a bit of bad form itís nice to come up against a team thatís currently struggling and so this Friday night we welcome the Huddersfield Giants. This game sees one of those rare occasions where more people from Huddersfield turn up to cheer Leeds on then their own folk. Great news on Ali signing will give the crowd a lift after whatís been a pretty tough few weeks. If Leeds play like they did in the last 30 minutes for a good hour or so on Friday then Huddersfield could be in for a hell of a beating. Leeds may have Toopi back and I really do hope he his to steady our right hand side. Leeds will have enough easily to beat these no-hopers. Leeds by 28

SAINTS v TIGERS

Castleford were partying Spain Euro 2008 style last week after getting another win fire works going off in July is pretty much the norm in redneck town so it was business as usual for them and it will be business as usual on Friday with a very heavy score line. Saints will be still feeling embarrassed they got turned over by this crap side and will be looking to put it right and itís not going to do Leeds any favours in the Points difference column. WOLVES v BULLS

Should be a good match up here both teams capable of winning but you never know which team will turn up. Individually Warrington looks the better side but as a unit the Bulls when hitting it together are pretty dangerous. Bulls still with quite a few injuries with the added fact of playing away might just edge Jimmy Lowes Wire side and heís the sort of person that wonít want to do his former side any favours. DRAGONS v 'QUINS

I canít believe this is still going on how a team made up of mainly French players sit so high in the super league is beyond me but it needs sorting out. France all the way unfortunately itís going to be the same old case where a team one week raise their game for Leeds and then lie down and roll over for the next few weeks. I think this will be a rather large score line but Iím hoping England can invade France and take 2 points to relive a bit of pressure from Leeds Ė but they wont. Home win by 14

WILDCATS v HULL FC

Curtain raiser for the challenge cup and I expect both sides to size each other up here. First game since Toppoís tragic death that 2 of his most loved teams come up against and the atmosphere should match the man himself and be lively and entertaining from start to finish. Another 2 teams who are hit and miss far too often, I think this game will be decided by the backs and I fancy Wakefield to win here but miss out in the cup. Hull by 6

ROVERS v wARRIORS

Wigan will back to usual this week in that they will be only at 60% effort; they only seem to raise their game when playing Leeds which is credit to us. Itís not a big game so they wonít have any ref given them favours this week so KR are in with a shout, KR are starting to dip and the size of their squad is starting to show. Wiganís pikey captain could feature this week so expect even more boring rugby should he feature. Hull are just too poor at the moment so Wigan away win. Pies by 12
