Loiner4Life's SLXIII Round 6 Preview

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

Once again Oldham Rhino leads the way of our merry band of tipsters after picking 4 points up over the weekend, but your "expert" columnist again was bringing up the rear.

But Round 6 is around the corner and can L4L come to the party as he sticks his head above the parapet and gives his forthright opinion on the weekends fixtures.

Read more here....

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII Round 6.

Hull despite how weak they were last week were right in it until the end against the Saints. Hull are still missing players but they are slowly turning the corner. Wakefield sneaked it last week and Skunk head and JK will be looking to get one over on their old team this week but I think Hull will edge it. Hull by 4

What the Hell was last week all about. It was embarrassing from the drunken chavs to Senior and Webb blaming each other for a ball that a man of Seniors ability should have caught every day of the week twice on Sunday! Don’t let this result give you the whole “Super league is closer then ever” or “on there day they can beat anybody” it’s nonsense. Top of the table clash with the London team – I didn’t see that coming!!!!. Leeds also starting to get injury problems with Diskin out suspended and Ash Gibson out injured again with Smith adding to the list too. McClennan will have a lot to do to lift the heads and shift the team about this week. The Quins shocked me last week and must have put a great defensive effort up to keep the Giants at nil. I always like these Friday 8:00pm games and it should be a cracker – no matter what team Leeds put out it should be big and strong enough to take on the quins. Leeds by 16

Saints were fortunate to get the result at Hull last week a game I expected Saints to win comfortably. Catalans must have played a decent standard of Rugby last week to come close to getting a point against the Bulls, What a great try they scored at one point – watch Boots'n'All if you missed it – what a cracker. Anderson will be wondering why his side are not putting many points past the likes of Wakefield and Hull FC like they should be doing maybe this week it will start. Saints by 14

Cas fans that missed last weeks historic win I have a copy of the program if you’d like it – maybe one day you can sit down with your grandchildren (that could actually be your children or cousins) and tell them about the day everything went your way and you defeated the best rugby team in the world, I’m not going to give you credit I didn’t even think you played that well to be honest Leeds were just unprofessional in thinking it was going to be a walk in the park. Hull just missed out to the WildCats last week but I think the home advantage should get them the 2 points. Hull KR by 6

Warrington all the way – They impressed me last week. If they can get a good cup run and avoid Leeds, Saints and Wigan away then I’d back them for the Challenge Cup. More then likely will be missing Matt King but that shouldn’t weaken them too much. The Bulls just had enough to take the points from a poor team last week they have struggled so far this season. I’m going for 11,400ish for the attendance and Wire to win by 14

Looked pretty average last week I’ve been waiting to see them come up against a big team to see where they may finish and 5th or 6th is where I see them ending – they do however score a lot of points and are coming up against the Giants who score all those points against Cas but none against the 'Quins. Wigan do have Mathers missing and despite home advantage there could well be as many Wigan fans there and I’m going for an away win. Wigan by 18
