Loiner4Life's SLXIII Round 4 & WCC Preview

Not L4L!
by Loiner4life

Loiner4Life's SLXIII previews continue with the three tipsters still being headed up by Oldham Rhino, who with took the honours last week with Loiner4Life slipping behind in the race.

This week the Rhinos take on the Storm in the World Club Challenge, and L4L previews that and all the Super League action.

We continue......

Here are my thoughts on this weekend's action in Super League XIII Round 4 and the World Club Challenge.

It’s the big one we’ve been building up to for months. Are the Storm taking it seriously or not or is it just mind games all this moaning? The conditions do favour the Rhinos but Melbourne are taking it more serious than others have in the past – they won their only other appearance in this competition back in 2000 so they are a team that take this competition a little serious. They have a couple of injuries more notably they are without arguably their best 2 players in Inglis and Smith. Leeds are at full strength, have home city advantage and are coming off the back of 4 good workouts and 4 wins so you’d have to favour them but we’ve not seen Leeds come up against a good team this season and this is where we can start to see how good Bluey’s tactics really are. 2nd trophy in the bag for Bluey Leeds by 8

RHINOS V HULL KR – it’s round 4 it counts!

I fancy Leeds to go out winning 20-12 in this result, Lee Smith bagging a brace too and a crowd of 19k. Leeds by 8

I was quite shocked last week at both these teams losing – more so Wigan. While they are scoring a lot of points they are still leaking lots and there poor defence will be coming up against the powerful attack of the Bulls. The fans called for the head of Steve McNamara last week on the message boards and for the ‘best’ centre in Super League to pull his finger out. Couple of injuries for Wigan but I expect them to just have enough against the bulls. Wigan by 4

Whoop di doo! My 2 tips for the bottom 2 spaces although the Quins have really surprised me – the gap between Super League and the National Leagues is beginning to tell as Cas got a right walloping last week at the hands of the Giants and I don’t see them making any improvement yet. Time could be running out for TM but with no relegation he might survive. Quins got a good win last week although I don’t know if the out come would have been the same had the Wildcats not had so many injuries. Quins by 14

Huddersfield gave Castleford a bit of a good beating last week but although they are at home they only have one win thus far against the worst team in the league. Hull surprised me last week defeating Wigan I really didn’t see that coming, they are away form home but I think they will be just too good for the Giants. Hull by 6

Oh deary me poor Wakefield. Two very poor results in a row, a few injuries and then coming up against the Entertainers there can only be one winner? Well there is only going to one winner obviously and it isn’t going to be Wakefield that’s for sure, full of injuries to an already poor team and the Saints should hammer them. Saints by 34

Another tough away game for the Catalans who are really missing Stacey Jones they hardly created anything last week and are coming up against a team with several creative players, Briers thrives on these occasions against crap opponents and really shines in these games I see another big score on the cards here and am going to say Warrington to win by 28
